Housing benefit woes

Its amazing how quick replies come when people are insulting. Everyone wants to jump in.0

People have tried to help on your other threads and you've left them hanging...
Re your HB - have a look at the website, as someone has said.
Or you could visit your local CAB and ask their advice. The CAB here know the right people to contact within the council, and other organisations.
Thank you

Ok maybe I was unpatient but after your attitudes towards new people I think I will ask elsewhere
Not a problem.
It is unlikely that you will get a different response elsewhere if you approach the situation in the same way. Think of this as an example of how not to approach people who are willing and able to help you.Gone ... or have I?0 -
When you signed on you would have got a Letter stating what benefits you were going to get.. if you allowed this to go by for eight weeks without doing anything? were you being paid JSA? were you signing on every two weeks? did your bank account Bulge with the fortune they give out in Child benefit, Living allowance, Food stamps and Local housing Allowance? If not, why not?
How have you been supporting yourself, and your child (no longer in nursery, because you were Sacked)?
I wish you luck in sorting out your problem..tribuo veneratio ut alius quod they mos veneratio vos0 -
Still got nothing to tell me today. I now got to wait until tomorrow. They had put my partners details in as weekly and not monthly like it states on her wage slips. So they worked out she was earning £1200 a month instead of £400 a month.
This is getting me worked up so badly now. My rent is 2 weeks late already and it seems they are doing nothing to help me other then making me wait.0 -
So have you asked for the complaints procedure, as suggested?Gone ... or have I?0
-
Yes and I have made a complaint as suggested0

we had an ongoing problem with housing benefit. I wrote to the complaints dept and was appointed an officer to help with my situation- they called me within 3 days to discuss the issues. The situation was resolved within 2 days of the call and my HB backdated to the date I supplied my change of circumstances. I dealt with them in a calm manner and wrote all the issues clearly and concisely in the letter. I spoke calmly to the officer who called. My mum used to say "you get more with sugar than with salt" and it is an approach I have always used with great success. The complaint procedure should be available on their website.Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."

Hi
We've had problems claiming housing benefit, won't bore you with the details!
I don't know if you have already, but notify your landlord or letting agent about the rent problem, most are ok if they know.
hope it all works out for you, at least you can talk to someone in my councils housing benefit department we just get an answering machine!
best wishes
