I've got half a tin of sweetened condensed milk left over from making coconut macaroons.

Any ideas what I can do with it?

Sweetened condensed milk sandwiches are not on the menu ..

Oh, and I've run out of coconut, so I can't make more macaroons. ;)

Put it in a pan of boiling water for a couple of hours - the condensed milk will turn into toffee - spread over crushed digestives, add bananas/cream for naughty but yummy banoffee pie :)

I made vanilla fudge at Christmas (for my hampers) with a tin of condensed milk.

I needed a standard baking tray for a whole tin, so if you've got something smaller to cook it in you could make some fudge!

    Hmmmm - yum!

I'm not at home, so can't look up the recipe right now, but will look back in later, if no-one else posts a recipe.

    Kind regards

Add to milk for a yummy rice pudding!!
We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Ohhhhh, I haven't had those in AGES! Maybe I'll have one now and diet twice as hard tomorrow instead :rotfl:

What about frothy jelly pie (I don't know the proper name)? Make a digestive biscuit base like the ones for cheese cake. Make the jelly and then when cool and about to set, whip in the condensed milk and pour into the base. The dessert turns out to be a sort of oddly delicious creamy fruity jelly mousse.

You can make a lovely icing by melting good quality chocolate and then adding your condensed milk.... nice on cakes and biscuits or poured over vanilla ice cream.
