Noisy Megaflo Cylinder

Hi all, I am hoping you can help. I have a Megaflo and since having the timer installed (2 weeks ago) it has started to make a rather loud noise once the timer comes on and the black needle on the pressure gauge moves up and down - vibrating. The pressure is currently at 2. The plumber seems at a loss as to whats wrong and the electrician who fitted the timer is adamant its wired up correctly.
The whole system is less than 6 months old.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong.

thanks for that link bobmedley. I will speak to the plumber and see what he says, it seems the pump might be incorrectly installed.0

Good evening: Have you had back the original installer? If so it is shocking to think that the individual who installed your unvented cylinder would be unable to diagnose the problem...I assume he/she holds a G3 certificate for the installation of unvented cylinders...if not you've wrangled yourself a cowboy.

hi canucklehead - he has the G3 certificate. i think the problem is the noise is not present each he has been. He has tried a few things. the problem started after the timer was installed.......he thought it might have been wired wrong....he is back today will keep you posted0

Update - megaflo no longer noisy, but when toilet flushed theres a noise..........any ideas what it could be?
plumber hasn't been back because noise from megaflo has 'stopped' - said he will come by on Saturday.0 -
What, a sort of flushing noise?;)
The MegaFlo is the hot water cylinder, so I don't see how it affects the toilet flushing.
Could be pipe 'hammer' for example, could be air passing through the system if it's been drained - the plumber needs to check water pressure from the mains etc, etc.0 -
It was air in the system.........things seem ok at moment......hope it stays that way0

Just read your post.
We have the fault you describe with our Megaflo.. In the mornings the first time we flush the toilet the cistern fails to refill. If I then open a tap anywhere but normally the one in the bathroom sink there is a large bang from a pipe below the floor and the water runs and the cistern fills. If I do have air in the system where do I let it out? And what is the big black valve behind the tank? How do I test the mains pressure?
Can you recommend anybody Megaflo trained in Kent?
Regards
