    Hi everyone

Mum and Dad did get to fly last night although it was touch and go for a while. They had a great time although it was over too quickly. The wind was a bit higher than anticipated and they were only in the air for about 40 mins (usually an hour). I'll post some pics later. The kids thought it was great watching them prepare the balloon and blowing it up. W kept shouting 'I want to go, I am 16' :rotfl:

Another beautiful day here, got some washing and drying o nthe go as we speak.

Great to see you home SSL, hope you had a good time :)

Johanne the estate agents would describe the house as 'in need of some renovation' or 'an interesting restoration project' ;)

Welcomes to all the newbies and hugs to anyone that wants one. Better skidaddle and get something done round here.

thanks girls for all the advice but its not that easy...its been in that state as long as ive known OH.. was actually worse than that when i met him... but between me and him and his dad weve done the place up best we could with what we could afford/beg/borrow/get off freecycle etc... as weve NEVER had the money to do the work on it...

His dad and him were planning on doing alot of work this summer because of baby including fitting new windows themselves (FIL said he'd buy them as an engagment present) and fitting a new toilet and sink that OH had managed to get for free from his old workplace. But obviously now it wont be happening as OH has no-one to help him and doesnt know how to do it himself was relying on FILs knowledge from years in construction. We have no friends we can call on as we only have each other and OHs best friend.. who is in the forces and based in cyprus. And now with baby and his new job working 12 hour shifts the work wont be getting done.

Plus If im totally honest me and OH have been talking and its likely he will be going bankrupt or something in the next few months :(:(:( He literally hasnt got a penny to his name and his income is swallowed up every month. Mortgage alone is over half his monthly income! In all likelyhood the house is going to go into negative equity soon due to large arrears on the mortgage, and OH has finally looked into his debts and weve discovered he has about 30k of other debt he cant afford repayments on. So best option is to just get rid of the place as its been a burden since day we met.... and i hate it anyway as was bought by him for him and his ex 5 years ago to do up etc but she cheated and ran off leaving him with the mortgage to pay alone and piles of bills in his name she had allegedly been paying - but didnt!

The place i live now is owned by my dad and will allow us to get ourselves back on our feet financially as i have a good arrangement with him as we cant afford another place anywhere.

Sorry... shouldnt rant and be so honest on here but im so fed up of the whole fiasco.. :( Wish things were so different for us.

johanne.. if he goes bankrupt make sure anything you want to keep is in YOUR name and you have proof you bought it.. because they'll take EVERYTHING if they consider there is any equity in it!! In fact.. I'd say he was living somewhere else until it is sorted just to keep your stuff safe. It is a load of stress but if it sets you right on your future go for it.. hence our house being repossessed years ago.. I simply didn't pay the mortgage.. and by the time it got round to buying this it wasn't showing on our credit file so I just neglected to tell them.. ;).. naughty but it worked for us and now hubby is earning 8 times what he was back then we are able to manage. You have to do what you feel is right for your family.. though with hindsight I would have rented our little house out.. but never mind.. what is done is done!

Off to collect the munchkin.. again.. must check my diary actually I am sure I had something on today I've forgotten about.. again!

Johanne, there are several non profit organisations who can help with debt issues, sounds like he needs some serious advice (going by what you have said in the past he might have been burying his head in the sand a little) The sooner you get it sorted the sooner you can do something about it, the sooner you can recover from it. I am talking from experience of burying my head in the sand, then facing up to it and now as my spangly new bank account shows, coming out of the other side. The earlier he does something the better, but do get some proper advice, there is no need to let it drag on longer than you need to, just makes the pain last longer. Maybe a post on the DFW board might help with advice aswell.

Well I should have done more but my stomach is going daft, BBQ yesterday, so going to help DP with his car for a bit.
One day I might be more organised...........
