I have emptied 6 drawers full of stuff to find the AGA engineer phone number - went to messages. Now have 6 drawers to sort and put back! Note to self: Dusty for god sake get more organised!

DS3 less itchy but does have a temp. He is eating cake now that he refused 2 hours ago so must be feeling a bit better.

    Monday's been and almost gone for me. Haven't achieved much around the house . . . one load of towels washed;
Took DS3 out early this morning as he is on a kayaking trip for the next two days
    DW run and emptied
Been to work and that's about it.

Tomorrow will hopefully be a wee bit better . . . no promises though!

Hey I just found a chocolate father christmas in one of the drawers - something that doesn't need to be put back. Milko has been, cuppa anyone.

I'm back, alive, nearly fell off but didn't end up on the floor (darn them for making corners on paths and fences just scraped my knuckles) but as pigpen predicted my bum is really hurting!!!! Hands too must find my gloves. I need some new brake pads as you hear me before you see me :o which when you don't want attention is worse! However I did it, shaking like a leaf, but did it. Going to try to get out a little every day and get over those nerves, I did used to ride everywhere pre kids even to work etc.

Johanne, now that is one heck of a list, he'd get much more for it doing the work, it may be worth getting evaluations as it is and done up, then you could price the work and see if it'd increase the profit. Usually you can raise the price by double what you spend just because of how much issues like the ones you have mentioned devalue a property, well worth getting some good advice on that. You might even be able to pick up the likes of a more neutral bathroom suite on freecycle, been loads on out local one recently.

SSL pics are on the last thread and her facebook

Right well I am having 5 minutes recovery time then need to crack on, need to find my next set of study books which are **in that pile somewhere** need to move some money about between accounts :D my new pin number for my grown ups card has arrived :D
One day I might be more organised...........

God i wish we could rent it out or even live there (when was just me and him i lived there for a while till i got here and it wasnt easy!) Its a disgrace and doubt anyone will even buy it. It has:
    • No heating except old fashioned gas fire in living room
    • Old wooden window frames which are rotten - back bedroom and kitchen ones are loose and close to falling out and the glass doesnt fit properly
    • Leaky roof where flashing on chimneys gone which leaks into main bedroom
    • Mouldy plasterboard for a ceiling in kitchen as we had to replace the ceiling cos of a leaky roof in there - but leak wasnt fixed like we thought so it leaked again and ruined new ceiling before even finished.. you have to step over the pans and buckets collecting the rain to get to the kitchen sink
    • The walls in the kitchen are bare plaster, the floor is only half tiled
    • The bathroom is avacado green.. suite and tiles VERY RETRO!!! HIGHNLY SOUGHT AFTER AT THE MOMENT!!
    • The bathroom tiles behind the shower are bowing, looks like theres damp in that wall
    • The bathroom ceiling is half missing - again through leaky roof
    • The toilet is broken - the actual bowl is cracked all way up and wobbles - it also leaks at the back all over the floor
    • Loft door is bust and hangin down, and the landing is only half painted
    • The main bedroom has the leaky ceiling as mentioned above, a small hole in ceiling where it leaks and cracks all over the ceiling and walls - made worse when a car exploded down the road.. so worry its the walls that are unsafe not just the plaster cracking. Black mould keeps appearing on wall under window from condensation running down from windows.
    • The wall in the back bedroom has damp where window frame is rotten and glass doesnt fit properly so weather has gotten in - so walls are all mouldy.
Can you see why we couldnt move there with baby? :rotfl: We'd be lucky to GIVE it away... nevermind sell it :o:o

I'd have a large wanted on freecycle for a new loo.. and keep my eye in skips!!

If you explain your situation on there you might even get some fabulous people who will help sort it out!! I've known stranger things.. or have a BBQ.. invite ALL your friends and family and a few passersby in for free food and drink and a fixing party... that ALWAYS goes down well.. and I am certain if you contacted the local rag.. play on the fact FIL just passed away and hubby has been caring for him etc etc etc you'll get some help.. it feels a bit like 'begging' but it really isn't.. it is saving a proterty from further damage and also it might mean the house is adequate for you all to live in!!!

Try it!! What have you to lose? It could be part of a 'fathers day surprise' for him as new daddy.. ;)
