pigpen ((hugs)) oh dear, this rollercoasters getting worse for you, fingers crossed it stops taking drops soon and makes a twist and turn towards better times ASAP, they do say it comes in 3s, surely that's your 3 over with?
kaz, great photo, they all look smart. Scary how they grow up so fast but even more scary how much these new fangled prom things cost! I don't know when they started (I left 14 years ago and we got a naff disco) but I have seen my cousins have thousands spent on hair, frocks, car hire etc for their proms. I am pleased you've been looking after yourself, a poorly kaz is something noone wants. How are you and little kazmeister getting on?
Michelle, sounds like a great plan, do what NEEDS doing and if the rest gets done so be it, if it doesn't then stuff itDon't forget when getting Frontline it's loads cheaper online. As for carpet treatment, we used RIP fleas which did an amazing job and it works after treatment aswell, also cheaper online (got cashback on quidco too)
I sent the boys to do their rooms earlier, DS2 has done some of his, DS1 snook off to bed and I don't think he did any of his, so he'll no doubt be up earlier for his middle of the night wake up, then probably up by 4am, again. Got new meds to try him on, but can't give him them when he's already asleep, sod! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr getting very cold, soooo tempting to put the heating on.
Debating what to do with a bag of spuds I have bought, they have loads of roots (didn't look properly in F&V shop) but doesn't look like any green bits, deciding if I should just rub the shoots off and bag them or cook them......oh what exciting Friday nights I have! One day I might be more organised...........

Hi Lilme
Thanks for your kind comments. littlemeister and I are pretty much the same, we have our ups and downs but love each other dearly :rotfl: .
Was going to take her shopping to Peterborough tomorrow but dont think I dare afford another trip to Lush just yet, especially as I have been doing so well moneywise.
Managed to have £80 left over (out of £550 spends) this last month and have managed to transfer another £200 to my savings account, as well as reducing OD by £200 so avoiding lush is good, and will also give me chance to do some housework.
Catch you all tomorrowMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Funny you should say that... in the space of 4 days hubbys cousin-in-law, a friends MIL have been diagnosed with cancer and my sis isn't much off.. so that was 3.. but they say a birth and a death come together so that's the baby.. so we should be all done now.. lol.
At least these are all 'cheap' surprises... apart from the baby she is going to cost me a small fortune!!.. we've decided we are having a girl.. cos we want one! lol.. so she is she until we know otherwise!

Pigpen
My sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was two months pregnant. She was told the pregnancy could hasten the cancer or it might not. She was monitored and all was well. She had the hysterectomy three months after her son was born. She was 28. Fortunately she had a 2 year old daughter as well.
That was twenty plus years ago and I'm sure the monitoring is more sophisticated than before. She may be lucky and the hormones may not enhance the cancer or pre-cancer. Hope all is well0 -
OFF TOPIC, I know but I trust and value the opinions of people on this thread.
I'd like some advice please ladies regarding my ex and access to DD. I don't want to discuss things openly on here so if there's anyone here who can give me some advice or just an idea of any arrangements that they have experience of then I'd appreciate it if you could let me know via PM. The situation is way too complicated and personal to go into on here. I just want to do whats right for my daughter and you lot are like wikipedia when it comes to information and advice:rotfl:
I'm off to bed now...in theory. Night all.

:eek::eek: I've just logged into my ebay account to see how some things I was watching were doing and just nearly fell off my chair - I have 3 Sega "cheat" books listed and there appears to be a bidding war going on ATM with 4days to go£20.29 so far and I started them at £4.99 (they cost me £20.35 from Amazon 2 years ago)
:D :j:j DD will be happy - I've promised she can have any money made from her stuff, think I'll get her to sit down with me tomorrow and sort out what we have made and spent in fees etc to see if we're breaking even yet
She likes maths
If not that will be a job for Sunday while she's waiting to speak to ex.

nicki I am no expert, but after splitting with my current partner several times I have learned some things.
Never use the children to get to each other
Keep all arguements between yourselves and never involve the children, making sure you keep what should be discussed with adults only away from them.
Let the children have most of the decisions in when they see who, give them choices and never make them do something they are not comfortable with because they are the ones who matterOne day I might be more organised...........

I'm soooo tired, and I should be in bed, but the internet has been messing about the last couple of days, so I had to read the thread while I had a connection.
I'm really quite pleased that I have managed to work pretty much full time this week and keep up with the flying. Level 3 in the bathroom and cloakroom yesterday, did the master bedroom on Wednesday, but have not done anything apart from the laundry tonight, oh, and the weekly shopping after school, as I am out all day tomorrow.
Lots of flyladies in need of (((hugs))) it seems today, please feel free to help yourself to one, plenty to go round!
pigpen, we know you're strong, but if you have a wobble, you know where to find us. Huge good wishes for your sister, this will be a very precious baby.
soappie - have a lovely holiday! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
hello all,
haven't done the thread as much as I intended this week and haven't managed to read it all, but have done some stuff, and will maybe do a bit tomorrow. sorted out a pile of carp the other night that'd been in the study for ages and am planning to photograph and turbolist a pile of stuff for ebay tomorrow (DH watching cricket so i am having a day of pottering etc). Had a nice surprise today though as I had forgotten I'd done some writing a while ago and not only did i get a copy of my published stuff, but £300 in pay
pigpen - big hugs, sounds like you're having a time of it.
michelle-impressed you're back on here. your baby is gorgeous!
nicki - my parents divorced when i was 8, affected me seriously (through my own academic research into the area it affects most kids badly somehow or other). my parents had joint custody of us, mainly we were with my mum, we lived with her, but just stayed with my dad every few weekends and saw him sometimes. The main thing i would say is when i look back I am so impressed that my mum never ever used us to get at my dad, never ever slagged him off in front of us, let us make our own decisions about him. I can't tell you how much i respect her for that (makes me well up just thinking about it!). Just remember that your daughter is caught in the middle, don't let her feel guilty in any way and try and keep your stuff between you and ex, as lil_me also said. feel free to PM/facebook me.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Back from the quiz and wide awake as I've not been drinking at all. Had a great evening. I had a new babysitter so I've just driven him home.
Boddy how is you GS
Soappie have a wonderful holiday
DR when DS1 was the same age as your he woke at 5/5:30 all summer. Sorry to say it was only when the clocks changed that he started to sleep later - well he didn't it was just a different time if you see what I mean
Nicki - I'm sorry I can offer no real advise but I did hear a good thing on one of those awful trisha/jermey type shows which said that the child (if old enough) should make all the arrangements for visits with the other parent so that if something happened and they were let down then you would not be responsible for passing on the news - good luck
Jill hope you have a really good birthday
Taurus thinking of you and your DD
Kaz glad you are taking care of yourself
Right quick catchup on some threads and then off to bed for meThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
ooh you lot have more or less made me
happy tears not sad ones though
I can't believe you have remembered its my birthday tomorrow (well today now)Thanks to everyone
Sorry I haven't been around much, I've done 2 weeks at work now and its all gone a bit manic. I haven't even come on to even read all week, so have no idea whats been happening.
Am trying to get my head round the change in our schedule now I am back at work. I need to get a bit better at fitting stuff in, everything takes me ages just now.
So here's my news anyway.
- work going ok, lovely to be able to go to the loo with the door closed! and to drink a whole cup of coffee whilst still hot :rotfl:
- leaving LO still really hard but she's fine with my friend the CM so I am trying to get over myself.
- LO has now slept through for a couple of weeks :T so sleep is no longer just a thing of the past
- weight loss going RREEEAAALLY BADLY went to WW last night and had put on 2.5 lbs, but I have been very good. Am going to try not to just go OTT on cake tomorrow LOL
- I felt great a few weeks ago and (supidly) tried to decrease my dosage of anti-d's and then this last week have felt like carp again. AF has come and gone tso its not that and I reckon its the stupid tablets. SO I have upped them again, and as I need some more have made appt to see GP next week for a chat and a prescription.
- We got a Wii yesterday :j :j great fun
- oh and I got a new hoover after the Dyson gave up and I got a Hetty which is a pink Henry. I freecycled the Dyson and the lady who collected it emailed me that night to say her husband had got it working and it was fine thankyou very much. I was gutted
Thats about it. I am fine really, just finding it had to fit everything in. It took me a week to get the new hoover out of the box. Also we had 3 birthday partied last week so that took up loads of time and have had busy weekends too.
Right look at the time, groan, kids have got gymnastics at 9, I wonder if I can persude hubby that I should get a lie in on mybirthday and he can take them?????Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
