Totally agree, I just got £85 for car ins (which was only £280 to start with! :j ) and am about to quote on home ins for £120 cashback! *crosses fingers*If you have good thoughts, they'll shine out of your face like sunbeams & you'll always look lovely.0 -
*Waves* I'm back! Am I the first?
I managed to ...
Hang the whites on the line (first time this year!), stick darks in WM.
Poo pickup in the yard.
Done dishes.
Emptied kitchen bin (why do I always buy the cheap, thin bags?)
and...
got the oven door off it's hinges!!!Looks like the WD40 worked. Now I can get right into the back of it for a scrub, it's a pull-down door type, and the door gets in the way when I'm trying to get at the back. Just having a quick breather while I wait for the spray to work it's magic, then going for another 30 mins.

Funny Story - I went to a posh American School and every year, the oldest year/class did what we called a Senior Prank within the last few weeks of school. Amongst a few things, we stuck 6 tyres over the massive flag pole. They had to saw them off...! It was a tradition to do a prank so the teachers saw the funny side of it....! :rotfl:
How on earth did they get tyres over the flag pole
I would love to have seen the teachers faces :rotfl:

Morning everyone! (or it was last time i got near the PC)
Hugs all round. Just quickly skimmed the thread - johanne, sorry it is rough for you at the minute, dusty, hope DS1 turns up soon so you can stop worrying.
Exam leave - officially the kids shouldn't have it - schools now have a legal requirement to provide tuition until the exam - barmy i think, but that is how it was explained to me by a union rep in school. The kids never want to be there, and i certainly don't want to teach kids who would benefit from being at home and not being distracted, although some logic for those who would do nothing at home.
Semi-productive day here - had a rough night with Sam, awake between 11 and 3:30, but then slept till DS1 woke at 8:15ish. DS1 woke when baby did again, so it is requiring both of us to be up to deal with them, although DS1 just needs a bit of a cuddle and then goes down within 5 mins again. Me and DH are suitable shattered today, and we were all sat in PJs this morning apart from the baby when the midwife arrived at 10:30ish. I hadn't even eaten breakie by then and was running low on caffeine.
We have however, stripped ours and DS1s bed - bedding all washed and out on the line along with some of my nighties washed yesterday - going through at least 1 a day with sweating/leaking milk and baby sick. Good job it is such nice drying weather. We then had the missing part of wardrobe delivered for the 3rd time, and again, it was wrong, this time the wrong piece. so we will be going to MFI in person to moan tomorrow as the people on the phone are obviously muppets.
We have been to meadowhell, and i got DS1 some shorts and vest tops for summer as he only has a couple of funny coloured pairs only suitable for the garden, and i didn't want him to swelter at nursery tomorrow. Also got myself some bio-oil to try out on the stretch marks using a PB voucher for Boots.
since coming home we have slobbed, but now baby needs feeding again.0 -

my 'babies' are.. 16, 14, 12, 11, 9, 7, 5 and 3.. the youngest is collected from nursery at lunchtime.. and between school runs and various appointments I barey get chance to itch my bum.. I just have to be disciplined.. (preferably with a BIG stick) This is the first time I have actually been able to get anything done in the house.. and we still live in a pit! I decided it is completely impossible for 1 little ol' me to keep on top of 10 peoples mess!!!
