Even better news mine sold too. I only put it on Autotrader last night and it sold today :j :j :j . So with both cars sold that's £10,250 I paid off tonight :)

Fantastic:j:j:j Think you deserve one of these:beer:
  • OH is going to see if he can get us a table at a really nice restaurant so we can celebrate. I had to work really hard, 1 1/2 hrs of haggling  , to get the price I wanted for my car so I think I earned it :D .

Well done on these major OPs

Well our original plan was to finishing paying off the mortgage in 2 years but fingers crossed it's April next year. That is however reliant upon the OH getting his bonus in April and with the way things are at the moment I think he should just be grateful to have a job. Worst case scenario we will be paid off by December 09.
  • I called the Woolwich and instead of our OP going out at the same time as the mortgage I will now pay it seperately. This means it will be coming off 3 weeks sooner each month on about £700 that must save a few pennies .:j

Now where can I find about £1,000 to take us below £30k? It's really annoying I can't access our account balance via telephone at the moment so I don't know exactly how much we owe  . I don't know if it's just our account or the Woolwich/Barlcays generally.
  • Well I called Woolwich and spoke to someone and somehow I was £1k out so we owe just over £32k. On the positive side the annual mortgage statement came in the post yesterday. On Oct 1st last year we owed just over £97k so in 13 months we've paid off £65k :j
  • Fantastic news! Well done you!:T
