  • Hopefully we'll be MF in April 09 and in April 2010 DD2 will start at her school nursery so we will be paying 2 lots of school fees so I think we'll be broke again.

Oh my goodness! That's really soon - yeah you!:j Enjoy the MF year!:D

    Loan - £13279.50
  • Thanks and I pinched your idea for listing how many Christmas presents left to buy. I need all the incentive there is to keep going. We have such a large family!
  • Well really feeling the pinch here and I am tempted not to scrimp next month. I know I need to make the effort or it will all fall apart. This month we have OP £1,240 . It sounds a lot but £500 was what were paying as part of our mortgage but because of the OPs our normal payments have dropped. I have had to take a little out of our savings to tide us through to pay day though which is just over a week away.

Next month the OH gets paid his bonus which should take us below £20k. Really looking forward to that happening so I have to keep on track.

Paid off another £240 which is 2 lots of DSs board. So with the OP which I made as soon as the OH got paid that makes £1,240 for November. I can't see there'll be anymore until next payday because with Xmas around the corner I'm shopping like mad but in MSE style :D

    Fantastic:T:T:T
  • I'm feeling really cheesed off. The OH didn't get paid today when I thought he would. It turns out that he isn't due to get paid until next Wednesday. I'm not happy. Financially I've been running quite a tight ship so stretching not very much another week won't be easy. This is compounded by the fact that I splashed out on a new sling that I didn't need but really wanted. It was a moment of weakness and now I could really do with the £84 it cost me. Too late it's on its way to me now.

I now have to raid the savings. Unfortunately I have just moved our savings from Egg to the Alliance and Leicester so it takes 3 to 4 days to clear. I have to wait for it to clear to A&L, hopefully clear tomorrow, before I can transfer some back again which will take another 3 or 4 days  . How I love the banking system!
  • We can breath again because it's pay day :j . I've only done a small OP because after the last week I'm feeling a bit reluctant to leave us short. So £500 paid off today and when the normal mortgage payment goes out on the 16th that includes an OP of about £150 so a total of £650 for this month. I don't know if I'll do anymore. We'll have to see when the OH gets paid again, he's not sure yet and I'm not taking any chances!

    Nice one
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
