Direct Debit taken from my account early

Hi on my Virgin Media Bill it clearly states that the money will be taken by direct debit on or after the 12/05/08 (Monday), but when i checked my bank account online it shows that the money has been taken and today its the 10/05/08 (Saturday) but has been future dated for when its due on the 12/05/08, so the money has left my account 2 days earlier than it should have. i dont know what i should do because i guess that either the bank or Virgin Media are at fault here, can anyone help or give any advice on the matter??? and can i do anything about it????
please just thank me

As its dated the 12th I dont think the money has left your account yet, they probably balance the books on Monday.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

Do you bank with Barclays? Thats exactly how they work. Any transactions due out of your account on a Monday are taken on Saturday and dated with Mondays date.
It also works for money going in your account too. I get a CSA payment on the 26th of every month. Sometimes that's a Monday, when it is the payment shows up and can be withdrawn out of my account on a Saturday0 -
call virgin ,tell them they have taken the money early and this has put your account overdrawn ,ask for compo a free month or whatever ( BT do this ) .If they don't play ball ask your bank to pay the money back because it was taken early . The bank will do this if you mention the DD guarantee ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0

A whole 2 days, its not as though its a week or so early. Just ensure you have enough money in the account the week before. Simple budgeting will suffice

You have been given correct answers (looby) in here and more specifically on your OTHER thread with exactly the same query.

All my lloydsrtsb dd's show on sundays statement even though they are taken on a monday. They dont actually leave the account though until the Monday. Im sure this will be the case for you too. I really dont think its worth giving it too much thought.0
