Phone in water!

GOLDEN RULE AS SOON AS PHONE COMES INTO CONTACT WITH WATER TURN IF OFF!!!!!! by tring to pass elecrtiocal current through a phoen with water damage you only damage the circut board.

Useful tools T6 Screw driver (funny ended thing to tak phoen screws out)
Tooth bRush
Paint thiner (cellulose thiners)
Kitchen roll
hair dryer


Frist step Remove battery, get a T6 screw driver and take phone apart, if nokia comes in three bits screen section mainbaord and outa case.

Once you have unscrewed screen and board and out case usally 6 screws dry screen out with kitchen roll.

Dry main board and take excess water off with kitchen roll.

Dry out caseing with kitchen roll and hair dryer

As the main board has had water in it on it if left every small deposits this will eroor the electrocins. Get your tooth brush and dip it in the cellulose thiners and rub across the amin circuit board avoiding and plastic on it thsi will clean the board and remove any water residue or corrosion. as its cellulose thinners this will automatically evvaporate best to use well vented space. Once board is clean as awhistle from from water and corrison this part done. Clean all connectors with thiners use little amount once all dryed and clean everything a ok. before assembling phoen back to gether make sure all parts are free from water and dry use hair dryer as nessary making sure not to put to much heat to the electronic as this could melt them. Once all parts are dryer assemble back together and repair should be complete and working buy doing this you will extend the life of yuor phone and over time it will not corrod with water damage. hope this short info will help you psd lg 7100 nightmare to take apart get a professional to do the job

Well when i got the phone out of the water it was already off, wouldn't switch on. Everything is back working now except for the alarm, wouldn't work this morning. I also can't seem to text. I can receive texts but not reply yet..Also my ringtone sounds dodgy..but at least i can receive calls and texts for now..I was so worried as this was a new phone.. thanks everyone for your input
