(Apart from the gas/elec we have used from then til now)..
You are still using the gas/elec, so you can't really add the credit without taking that into account.
When was your amount last reviewed? Prices have gone up since last May, so that would need to be taken into account too.
Try giving them a reading at the start of June and see where you stand.
Maybe keep giving them readings with each payment so that they have the right information next time they assess it.0 -
Our payments have never been assessed all the time we have been here, not even through the winter. I know that prices have gone up, but to wack an extra £45 for being £18 in debit dont add up to me... Prices havent risen that much!So much for 'Money Saving'0

Called in to Tesco this morning, this guy did not see him, stopped me and asked which power supply company I was with . Noticed he was with E.ON laid straight in to him . I am with E.CON my reply it's E.ON he said, oh no it is not them robbing !!!!!!!s my reply . He started to go red well you should change he said. Pity there were no others at his stand.
What they did with me was to change my plan therefor put my night rate electricity up by 80% E.CON0 -
Whilst it's good to get stuff off your chest guys, I'd like to say that I've been quite happy with Powergen/eon.
As prices have risen over the two years I've been with them, I've regularly ended up underpaying. This has always prompted a review of my DD which has led to me feeling angry like previous posters. However, when I've rung up, paid off the balance, and discussed with them a sensible monthly payment, I've always found them accomodating.
To be honest, now I study our (increased) energy usage, as well as accepting (inevitable) multiple % increases, it's no wonder I'm always in debit to them. When the next rise comes, I will be taking a reading, ringing up with it, and altering my dd to account for it.
Just being proactive... and resigned to accepting that until we move with more pace to renewable energy, prices can only get worse...:money: [STRIKE]Mortgage: July01=62700; Apr07=~15000[/STRIKE]
Mortgage free date: 2037... we've moved house to somewhere we can't afford...

We only moved to Eon recently, since they had already put up their prices in Feb. Well, only last week we had a letter informing us of more increases. Didn't post the percentage, nor the "before" numbers....but an email to them led to someone admitting " The increase is 39percent, this is due to a rise in wholesale energy prices across the industry."
OUCH !!!
Now where do we move to, or are they all about to shaft customers ?!
*sigh*Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -
I can`t see anywhere where they have increased their prices since Feb 08. I am with Eon and I have had a letter regarding my dd increasing. I get a statement each quarter and I knew that I wasn`t paying enough but it was my choice to leave it until they wanted to increase it.0

pinkpig, spacerider the prices last went up in feb however the energy online extra saver5 prices did not go up. It is this tariff that went up in June. No other tariffs are affected.
And to the person who thinks its funny to humiliate someone in tesco just for doing their job, shame on you. Its not them who decide on price rises. You wouldn't lay into a check out assistant in tesco just because the price of milk has gone up.0 -

Someone that speaks some sense.
E.on have a new payment system in place that carries out an Annual Review on the first statement recieved after april and 'Mini Reviews' throughout the year where if your usage over the past 12 months has increased / decreased by 8% it triggers another review to adjust your DD accordingly.
Its worth mentioning that if you have an oustanding balance then you owe E.on money and they are trying to get it back so that its not on ongoing thing. If you think that its acceptable to pay your winter bills in the summer then build up a debt in the winter (Instead of Building up a credit in the summer to go towards your winter bills) then paying by DD is not going to be for you.
All Suppliers are coming down on DD payments because they get so heavily criticised that they either allow a debt to keep building or they keep to much credit on accounts.
They can't win and when DDs change and its a large jump its a clear indication that your either a high user or you have an existing debt (or consecutive estimates that are higher then what you have actually used) either way its rare that there is no justifcation for a large increase.0 -

I agree with you there. It's not the saleman's fault if there was a problem with your bill.0
