I'm told there is no "cap" and I've had no problem downloading from BBC Iplayer, YouTube and also I-tunes U (which is great by the way).

It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

    For what its worth

I have been a LOYAL customer to VM - from first being with Diamond Cable (dial-up for those who remember) to NTL (had this modem for 10yrs before it died!) and now VM. Approx some 15years+ in total

My experience with NTL was at times abysmal - once was on-hold for over 75minutes

My experience with VM has vastly improved - max 20 minutes. Quickest was 2 minutes - this caught me off guard as they answered so quick!!

I always try and negotiate the best possible deal with VM for the best speed for as little money as possible - I always tell them that I will leave cause the price is too high. But they are now hitting back - especially when you try and quote other services and prices so I gave in and say well what can you do for me? :D So yesterday I am now on the 10 meg and phone-line with unlimited weekend calls package for £22.50 for 12 months. Before anyone shoots me down - for me I felt it was the best deal on the table. I also have two SIMS cards on the 300txts & 300mins.

My point is this - in all the time that I have enjoyed cabled BB I have lost service for a max of 7 days. I know of close friends especially one who had a beyond believe experience with Orange (I would pull out my own teeth than have to deal with there technical team) they now are with TalkTalk (another poor service - another story - too big for there own boots! But no problems so far!!) I have read peoples experience of VM customer service but I have found that if you ain't rude with the CS or loose your patients with them (in the past they have incorrectly billed me for three months in succession and I have always kept my cool and pointed out there mistake and what was VM going to do about it - they have always made it worth my while) then they will try there best to help you as much as possible. For example, yesterday, when I upgraded to 10meg I was told that it will take up to 24Hours for the speed increase to take effect but in the past it has only taken a max of one hour so today I checked the speed and its the same as yesterday so I rang CS and got through to a nice lady who fought for 15 mins to force the modem to increase its speed to the new 10meg speed. :A She then informed me that the modem was no-good and would send one out in the post 3-5days and would compensate me with one weeks line rental. :j

THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THERE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT - IT TOTALLY SUCKS :mad::mad:

    So here here for VM.

I would recommend VM for BB to anyone in the area where I live - sorry but I really can not knock IT. For sheer reliability:T

UPDATE: as promised a new cable modem did arrive - UPS - rang CS and they asked for the MAC address and it is now flying at 10meg - asked as to what to do with the old one and was informed to keep it just in case of emergency!!:rotfl:
