Scared - May have cervical cancer

Thanks all, I hope you are right about hearing sooner if it was cancer, although my consultant did say she had only received the results on Friday
.
I'm certain something is there, otherwise she wouldn't want to see me so soon. But hopefully it won't be cancer. It could be more treatment to zap more naughty cells away

Not looking foward till tomorrow, why couldn't I be a first appointment.

Whatever the outcome, i'll try and post on here tomorrow night.

Hi everyone ,

The good news is i've not got cancer! The bad news is i'll probably have to go back for another op for more treatment. She mentioned removing the bottom of my cervix, as for some reason she couldn't remove all the naughty cells last time - I think they're deep into my tissue.

She said she can't make that decision alone, i'll be discussed next week sometime between a group of specialists and I should hear soon after that what action they're going to take.

I didn't know if to thump her for putting me through a weekend of hell, or hug her for not giving me the bad news i've been expecting.

I'm also been referred to oncology nurse.. don't know why, when i've been told I have carcinoma-in-situ/CIN3 which isn't actually cancer.

Oh and they've lost my medical notes, she only had a copy of the pathology report but that was the most important thing in my eyes.

I'm trying not to read too much ino the oncology nurse / being discussed by specialists thing, but overall.. its good news!!

I can't even begin to express my gratitude to you all for being here, offering guidence and support. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I'll keep you all updated on the next plan of action (that's if you want to hear the gory details lol).
