It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Hello Curley, please try not too worry to much both my mother and myself have been in this situation. It sounds like you have a good Consultant/Hospital as they are very quick off the ball. Yes their may be a problem but the quicker they see you the better the outcome and thats what counts. Still try not to stress to much but I know this is easier said than done. Fingers crossed for you x

I know it's easier said than done but try not to panic. Even if it's not good news on monday it's not necessarily the end of life as you know it! After lots of tests my mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer 15 years ago. As soon as the diagnosis was made she was admitted for surgery within a matter of days, didn't need a hysterectomy and never had any chemo, radiotherapy or any of the other nasty treatments we usually think of when we hear cancer. Just a relatively small procedure, a couple of days in hospital and she was right as rain within a few days! She had a few "scares" over the following years but nothing that required treatment and she now has the all clear and is perfectly happy and healthy.

Cancer is a terrifying word that no one wants to hear from a doctor but it doesn't have to mean the beginning of a grueling course of treatment with only a little light at the end of the tunnel. Best of luck with your appointment and try to stay positive.
