    Hi

I work on the checkout, as checkout support and on Customer Service Desk at ASDA.

I took in the ASDA policy on the first page of this thread as I was told only one internet coupon could be used per transaction. I have since showed this to my manager and she agrees with the policy on this thread.

You can use one internet coupon per product if not buying the product plus any amount of the same if buying the products. (same number of coupons to products).

As well as this our store (not sure if all stores do) you can use any other store coupon as long as we sell the product.

You can only use upto 50% of your shopping on coupons.

I served a lady yesterday who uses coupons for every transaction, she splits her shopping into more than one transaction every time and does a few trips a day. I asked her yesterday where she gets coupons from and she said EBAY.

    Hope all this makes sense.

    Karen

Does anyone have a copy/report of the Waitrose policy? They are my preferred store at which to shop. I was going to ask at the CS desk, but on my past couple of visits, they've been really busy.

People have got an email before, it confirms they do accept coupons without buying the products, but the amount is down to Store policy.

So you need to go & find out what your local store's limit is, I reckon. Near me they only allow 3 coupons which is fine when using high value ones or trying to use up 3 x the same which is OK at Waitys (but not as good as Tesco where, day in day out, they take any at my local as long as all different).

Hmmmm...that's actually one of the least productive ways to get coupons, I hardly receive any in the post and even then just one at a time.

There are a few websites to register with, maybe someone can list a few as I can't recall any that I have recently had coupons from TBH.

But keep your eyes on the freebies threads on here and register for any free samples, of toiletries or foodstuff, confectionery & drinks etc. You may receive one coupon with a sample.

Better to go to the Baby Show in the Autumn or Good Food Show in November. Or maybe a County Show or Festival if there is one near you this Summer. They normally have coupons given out on stalls.

You can also get them in Supermarkets when they are giving out coupons on a sampling stand. Often in Sainsburys & Asda these are non-store specific so you can use them elsewhere (Tesco).

In tomorrow's News of the World there is a fiver off when you spend £30 at Tesco. Buy a few copies at 95p each as the fivers are valid for a week.

Our Tesco Mansfield has now stopped accepting coupons unless you buy the product.
Looks like the store manager just lost my 10 Grand a year of goodwill and custom.
The next Tesco at Oak Tree Mansfield is accepting them still at the moment so it`s still Tesco`s at the moment, unless they get greedy too.
    Don`t they know there`s a recession.

Great find, thanks emweaver! These are the SafeCoupons by Couponstar. Just printed out 2.

    - Free candia milk 1 litre can be redeemed only at participating Sainsbury's and Somerfield stores.
I found that Candia milk tasted different from fresh milk, but it is fine for making tea and coffee.

    - Innocent yoghurt thickie 750ml (£1 off) at Tesco and Sainsbury's
This is £2.99 at Tesco. The coupon is Tesco specified and it says 'Please don't try to buy biscuits or anything else with it. You'll just make your retailer feel bad'. lol, I love Innocent people, they are so funny!

I also went to my local Mansfield store today and advised they no longer accept coupons unless you buy the product. They make millions of pounds profit, and they do get reimbursement for the coupons.I think they are being unreasonable and they relax the policy soon, otherwise I may have to take my custom elsewhere.

    Welcome! :T

Just to add to the discussion, IMHO there's no reason why people using coupons should be advised pay the balance in cash and then get the points added afterwards in bulk. In fact quite the opposite if everyone wants to follow Tesco national policy.

The Tesco coupon policy states that a customer can pay for all their shopping using coupons if they are all different. Is your store one of the many who didn't read the policy last year when it was sent out? There's a copy of the policy on MSE posted somewhere, or you could have root back in last June's 'CSM Daily Updates' if you are allowed, the wording is clearly spelt out there.

Also if you get points added later in bulk, regularly, then THAT'S a sure-fire way to fall foul of the Tesco Police at Dundee. Don't do it and don't be tempted to womble (pick up) anything except the odd till-spit, all you newbies!
What is 'CSM Daily Updates' ?

I really don't get it! The operator scans the coupon in, the machine accepts or rejects it. I would have thought that all Tesco machines worked the same software, but obviously not! Last week at a Tesco Extra, the machine rejected coupons where I didn't buy the product, this week at a smaller Tesco, the machine accepted ones that last weeks rejected! and I still didn't buy the product!
