Hi, i work at Tesco on the checkouts. And our policy is you can take as many coupons off your shopping as you like as long as we sell the product. But you can only use one of the same coupon, unless you do actually buy the product. We are not accepting the daily mail book coupons though, as Tesco do not get the money back for these. Our store also does accept the printable coupons.January GC £33/200

Hiya,
Oh good, a nice sensible post from a Tesco employee, we like you on these threads. :T
There were some strange posts recently from MSE newbies, so-called Tesco workers where they say stuff that's wrong or just their own opinion (rather than the facts of the policy). But your post shows a good understanding of the policy, why can't they all be like you?!
You are right, 'one of each if you haven't bought it' is still the policy. The wording posted on the previous page is the correct policy wording as R4pture says, and as you correctly say it has NOT changed.
BTW it was originally posted on MSE, big thanks to hidetheplastic (see below link) and it's not just a store-specific policy. But some stores are disallowing printable coupons now, can't argue with that really as acceptance of printables seems to have become 'up to Store discretion' since the policy was advised to stores:

I work for the big T on checkouts and last night when I logged on to my till a message came up that we no longer accept coupons unless the customer actually buys the product. On talking to my Team Leader it is believed that this is not just our store but national and apparantly it is due to people abusing the system.
Sorry peeps
Well I used £18 or so worth of coupons yesterday at my Tesco (including the £5 off £30 from last sundays NOTW) - did have a bit of trouble with the young lady at the checkout who wasn't sure at first if she could take internet coupons, but she called over a supervisor who told her she could take 1 plus 1 if I had bought it, otherwise 1 of each. So all that scanned ok came off my bill. Lets hope its just that store......
btw... this coupon doesnt work anymore..... offer closed

Has anyone saved a pdf or jpg of the EVE voucher...now it links to Tesco and is an internet offer only.
Typical, I saved the Instyle one, the Uncut one....but no...didn't save Eve
Found it:j:j:j:j:j
The link to the voucher is still live and the voucher is valid to 1st July. So if you didn't get save the image before....save it now.
Going through the link on the first page will now take you a Tesco online discount offer only - so is not much use to us MOC users
This is the link0 -

I never got this coupon to work at all...it was rejected every time I tried to use it...so I just recycled them in the paper waste box0 -
Does anyone have a copy/report of the Waitrose policy? They are my preferred store at which to shop. I was going to ask at the CS desk, but on my past couple of visits, they've been really busy.Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0

Yesterday, I went to my local T for my normal shopping and been noticed that they had stopped us to use coupons without buying the products by their STORE MANAGER'S DISCRETION.0

I went into my normal tesco yesterday downhill lincoln) and they only accepted 50% in coupons of my total bill (unusual). So I went to customer services and ended up speaking with the manager who showed me a e-mail sent out on the 4th June from HO to all stores which basically said only 1 non purchase coupon per transaction. She informed me that they only allowed the 50% as good will and from now on they will only accept 1 coupon per transaction if you don't buy the product but as many as you want if you do buy the product. i explained the difference across stores and lack of staff knowledge and she said tesco were aware and are trying to make it a national thing. So good by tesco hello asda and waitrose!!0
