Cough, cough, gulp...you were going to rip up £1 notes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness you didn't. Have fun spending them.

And BTW I nearly always use free product coupons without buying the product. Like the recent free Emmi coupon, I just put it on the top of my wad of coupons and just said, 'oh, that one is worth £1.49, it says so just there'. SA says 'oh thanks', types it in and carries on scanning the other 30!

Hi

Could someone explain this for me please. I am not sure what method coupons are, and I also was under the impression the recent emmi coupon you have to buy product. How did you know it was worth £1.49 and where does it tell you that.

No, you never HAVE to buy the product unless it's a Tesco coupon. Some stores or SAs may say you have to buy the product but you don't, the only difficulty is that they have to type in the value. If you can show them the value they will usually type it in anyway unless your store is quite unfriendly about coupon-use.

One way would be to buy the product and then you can use 2 free product coupons (one against the product and one freebie as allowed in the coupon policy). I have done so and then there is no argument as to how much they are worth; the SA may say 'oh but you haven't bought 2' to which I reply 'no, only one but I believe I can use duplicate coupons if I buy the product named'. Which is true.

Usually though I just memorise the price instore as I go round then tell the SA what it was (truthfully), they just say thanks. I used loads of the Panini BOGOF coupons like that last month (expired now) which were worth £2.29...but I never bought a UGO panini.

With the Emmi one, I have used mine already but the 'up to £1.49' amount was stated in the small print on the bottom right bit of blurb on the coupon, IIRC. I just pointed it out & hoped for the best.

Oh, and Method coupons are not printables, they were sent out last month from an offer in the previous copy of Delicious magazine.

thanks coupon mad

that has cleared that up for me I understand perfectly now. Im annoyed I didnt know that before as I had those panini vouchers too bummer eh, and I put the emmi ones in the bin as every time I tried to look for them to get my freebie I couldnt find them in the 3 tescos i frequent.

im learning so much about couponing everyday. The hard part is finding them ive only got about £10 worth I can use in one transaction and that includes the book token.

thanks

No, not worth ordering a back-copy at all as it was just an advert saying you could email for a free sample & coupons (I got 5 x £1 off). It was last month really - as the June issue is out now - but you could try emailing:

talkclean@methodproducts.co.uk

Say that you saw their advert in Delicious magazine 'this month' (May) which
says 'email us and we will send you some good clean stuff'. Ramble on a bit
about how you are always cleaning up and would love any
samples or coupons that they can send.

Give them your postal address of course and just wait & hope you've not missed the boat!

Hi, all stores should follow the national policy but obviously some don't!

You could write to the stores close to you and get them to confirm their own policy, you never know, if a manager replys, you might get a different answer to when you ask at CS.

If you say which area you are in, maybe a member near to you can pm you a coupon friendly Tesco thats close by :)

Are you making sure you try the young bored males as they are the ones most likely to allow you to use your coupons :)
