I know this has been discussed before but tried the search button and nothing comes up. If a coupon ends in 000 does it mean you have to buy the product or is it just the same as all other moc's? Got some coupons in the post from "Method" and they all end in 000. Thanks.0

Hi, unfortunately if the barcode ends in zeros you NEED to buy the product and the checkout operator will manually key in the price to be deducted. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

If they are the same Method ones I got today in the post, last 4 digits 1000 then they scan without buying. Its not the last 3 digits (the last digit you ignore) its digits 4,3,2 from the end that say the price it scans for, ie the method one scans for £1.00.
Hope this helps.0 -

In some stores you don't need to buy the product. If you have any of the Anchor Butter vouchers or Cravendale milk vouchers, these end in 000 but have a maximum redemption value printed on the front. If you point this out, the SA will simply input this value as this is the amount they will receive back from the manfacturer. If, rarely, there is no maximum redemption value, you will need to know the price of the item. In my experience, most SA's are very willing to accept the vouchers as long as they have a maximum redemption value on display and many will accept them even they don't (just make sure that you are accurate with the item price).0 -

Cough, cough, gulp...you were going to rip up £1 notes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness you didn't. Have fun spending them.
And BTW I nearly always use free product coupons without buying the product. Like the recent free Emmi coupon, I just put it on the top of my wad of coupons and just said, 'oh, that one is worth £1.49, it says so just there'. SA says 'oh thanks', types it in and carries on scanning the other 30!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
