coupon mad are the yellow ones from the daily mirror ok even though they say please only redeem at your national independant reatailer?

I have a few copies of these but have not used any as I wasnt sure if tesco would be able to redeem these, and their is absolutely no point in asking in store because anytime I ask cs a question they give me a blank look and havent got the foggiest what im talking about half the time.

Well, personally I think they are fine and my 2 locals have accepted them every day. I did see the 'please use these at an independent retailer' bit at the top of each but it's not a requirement in the t&cs for the consumer or the retailer at all. They are NSS as they don't state a certain retailer. I figured that the 'please...' is just a polite request, based on the fact the promo was trying to encourage you to use your local independent store.

I also figured that Tesco could redeem these either as Tesco or as One-Stop or whatever small stores they actually own (not sure if I am right with One-Stop but Tesco do own some small corner stores which - deliberately - do not have the Tesco name, and I don't mean the Tesco Express shops).

    thanks coupon

I managed to use these no problems in my coupon friendly store today. I decided to go to another tesco which is smaller than my usual haunt as its a bit closer.

Just as I suspected they had never heard of this policy and said no no you have to buy the product bla bla bla. I explained its tescos policy to accept manufacturers coupons without buying the products and politley showed them the email i have from ho. They then pointed but it says on here you must buy the product, I just kept repeating myself so there was no point. Staff very nice though and the supervisor said they have a management meeting every monday and she would clarify the policy with them and she took a copy of the email I had.

I really hope they come back and say yeah its fine as this one is a bit closer to me. I find that all the smaller tescos dont seem to have a clue about the policy. Does anyone else find this.

Yes, it's the same round here so I don't bother with the local Metro any more - even though it's very near me.

When the policy was first confirmed to stores a year ago (yes there is an actual national policy!) I went around the local stores asking at the CS desk when they were going to implement it, please?!

It put the cat among the pigeons as only one of the 3 stores had read & introduced the policy. The second store just said a nasty 'no' (that's the store I finally got to change their mind this year) and third store was a Metro that initially said yes once they'd looked into it.

But the hassle there was always unbelievable, they were so jumpy about coupons and always called a Manager. Some of the Managers were rude and ill-informed even though I had already cleared the policy in there, then finally a few months ago they decided they were only going to allow one coupon even though they knew full well what the National policy should be.

That plus the fact that they don't carry a great range of products has put me off for good.

I went to my local tesco extra today, and tried to use a MOC. The SA said that as I hadnt bought the product I couldnt use it, and called over the supervisor for clarification. The SA is a very chatty woman and said that they have stopped accepting coupons unless you buy the product, as people were going in with masses of coupons and for coupons that are asda only. This tesco's changes 'policy' every week or dependent on the SA.

Its not a SA i normally use as she is 'chatty'. But I will get rid of the coupon!!

Is anyone having problems printing this one? I have tried several times and it just sits in the queue, not sure if its my printer.

Has anyone managed to get rid of all the extra bit so you just print the moc?

    Thanks
