Hi All, I'm new to posting on here. Hope this works ok.
I noticed no Daily Mail coupon for June up yet.
    http://f.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/06_01/virginia_nicholson_voucher_405x620.gif
I don't know if they are taking this one yet as I haven't tried it.

    Hi, welcome to MSE...but...

...just 3 posts above your post I had just mentioned the things that IMHO, Tesco consider to be coupon abuse. The Daily Mail Book token is a no-no even if it scans at first (until they block it, which they will I hope). Don't even try it!

Forget the DM token everyone, I have used my 'hundreds of coupons' every week for months without a DM book token being in there since 2007 (when a store told me it was not allowed and not redeemable). The hundreds of coupons per week are from ONE daily transaction of about 30 coupons each time (or two daily transactions at 2 different stores sometimes, when I have nowt better to do).

Where I get my coupons from (and it's hardly ever eBay...):

Most of my coupons are printables, then there are lots of mixed swaps from www.paidtoshop.co.uk, a Waitrose spend & save from a friend who didn't want theirs, and one x £1 and one x £1.25 Huggies coupon from the 50+ copies of P&B mag I bought in January. Plus any that I have received in the post from Pampers, Pedigree, Eukanuba or whatever. And like R4pture does, I use other people's pc's to get more couponnet ones.

Then there is a Sun/Morrisons fiver if I have spent over £30 and one of each of the yellow MOCs that were in the Mirror last week, which ARE NSS even though the promo was aimed at getting shoppers into independent shops (I bought lots of the Sun and the Mirror as soon as I saw the vouchers, which clearly fitted Tesco policy).

That's about it. :D

    Good question.

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, I split mine into however many I want - 2, 3 or even 4. No-one has ever said a dicky-bird about it. How I choose to put my stuff thru is up to me, where's the rule that says I can't?

I would worry. Mark my words, splitting your transaction just to circumvent the coupon policy limit of one of each coupon is seen as coupon abuse. The policy is clear that it's one of each and that means per customer per day in each store. This has been stated to me twice by Managers, but both times I pointed out that I had my teenage daughter with me who was allowed to use coupons in her own right. However, it alerted me to the way Tesco Management react to suspected coupon-abuse, even in coupon-friendly stores like my locals.

If I want to get more stuff I go to 2 stores, it avoids any possibility of abusing the policy (which, let's be honest, is flippin' fantastic, who in their right mind would want to get the policy changed long-term, by using more than one of each per day in one store?).

Splitting your shopping up if you don't use coupons is fine of course...but pointless. I am assuming you are splitting yours up to use the same batch of coupons again? Don't say I didn't warn you...they really don't like it!

coupon mad are the yellow ones from the daily mirror ok even though they say please only redeem at your national independant reatailer?

I have a few copies of these but have not used any as I wasnt sure if tesco would be able to redeem these, and their is absolutely no point in asking in store because anytime I ask cs a question they give me a blank look and havent got the foggiest what im talking about half the time.

I only go to T's a couple of times a month, I don't 'raise my profile' by telling them what their coupon procedure is, speaking to managers, waving printed copies of their so-called coupon procedure, lecturing them on how to run their store, etc etc - I just go in, do my shopping, and leave, end of story. Like I said, no-one's ever blinked an eyelid. Oh, and I don't coupon the whole cost of my shopping or anywhere near it, even if I theoretically could.

I printed out the above coupons and they came out A4 size! I thought they looked unusual and Tesco did too. Whilst other coupons from the 'net were readily accepted these were queried then refused.

Anyone else tried these 'large sized' coupons?

I use these all the time. Jusst cut out the bottom half of the tetley tea one the bit with the bar code. You dont need the top bit if that makes sense. THe other two I use fine the size they are.

Ok I think we will agree to differ with our shopping methods, maybe you will be lucky and never get pulled up for splitting your transactions and using duplicate coupons as a result.

But I was concerned that you posted for someone 'not to worry' about doing so. It's against coupon policy terms, whereas what I do is not. :D

    Happy shopping!

With all of these, when you first click on the Print icon, you should be able to change the print size by changing 'fit to printable area' to 'multiple pages per sheet'. It should show you the print preview and you can see what size the coupons will be.

The Anchor ones can be printed fairly small and then again and again on the same sheet by putting the sheet back in the other way.

With the Tetley one (and others on MumPlusOne) you can do 2 per sheet and then represent that sheet twice more to print 2 again on the other side, back to back with the first lot. Then you can cut them out to make 4 coupons, each with a barcode on one side and the other blurb on the other side. They look good, much less 'internety'.

OK, very fairly put, except that I really don't believe in the coupon policy - as another MSE'er says, the only policy is - there is no policy! But you are right in that I think we'd all advise those new to couponing to take it a step at a time, work out what goes down in their local, and don't run before they can walk. I guess we are all indeed having 'happy shopping', and long may it last. Can I also take this chance to say thanks to all posters for their tips and advice.
