    Hi,

Sadly no reduced sun block in my boots! but wanted advice on which facial sun lotion to buy.

I looked in Boots yesterday and I was torn between the soltan once (spf 25 I think. Can't find link on .com) or the No7 Anti Ageing Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection (spf 50)
    http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1082200&classificationid=1009326

I want something with a high SPF because I don't like to tan (I have freckles which I know will turn into large, dark spots in time) but the "expert" in store told me to go for the Soltan one because you only need one application every 6 hours. I also wanted something I could wear under make up so maybe the Soltan once is the best one to go for...?

Also, what would be more cost effective? Is there much difference in the ones you put on your face or could I get away with buying a big bottle and using it on my face too?

Thanks in advance (and sorry for the waffling!)

also make sure you get a foundation that has spf in it too

i used the ambre soloaire facial sun lotion last year but i wouldnt recomend as it was very greasy

sorry cant comment on soltan or no7

Hi dearkangel, I too find the whole thing confusing. I stocked up on the No7 Anti Ageing Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection (spf 50) wehn the last No 7 voucher was around.

Which have published quite a few reports. LINK HERE to one of them. I was told a few months ago that we cannot quote from these reports on here, but can post a link.

This particular one has a list of Sunscreens that can be trusted, and a list of those that failed Which tests. Links to further reports HERE

It is an area we all need to pay close attention to especially for our children
Hope this is of some use.

Well, went in to town for a mulitple bootsing today... 4 boots all visited in a day =D

Didnt actually buy that much, grabbed my lunch in there (houmous & grilled veg wrap - bought because it was seemingly the only healthy + veggie option, turned out to be GORGEOUS! also got the new (i think - is it?) pinapple slices w/ mango & coconut dip, which was heaven)... actual shopping wise, i grabbed:

"delicious beauty" coconut body scrub (omg, smells amazing) 4.99
    water 0.59
    =5.58 to pay
    TILL SPIT

    mini med melon scrub £2
Med almond/pistachio soap - £FREE with the above
    skin clear wash & moisturiser = 2 for £4
[I figured i need these after the recent gang of spots that have appeared on my face :( ]
    total to pay - 6.00
    TILL SPIT

then lunch and a 'gorgeous' bag.

    final little shop:
    TD hand/nail lotion
    USED - till spit :)

now, a quick pondering of mine... did you all sign up for PC for real babies, or are there one or two imaginary babies out there? lol.
    On the up :D

Got A Britney Spears Curouis Set Today Marked As Clearenace At £9 But Wnet Through At Just Over £5.
  • Super Keen Money Saver's shops from today:

    Shop 1

    Small yellow photo albums x 2 @ 75p each

    Total: 75p + 200pts
Using: 200pts WYB any album or frame ACM voucher

    Shop 2:

Hangbag shaped photo albums x 2 @ £1.50 each (really cute!!)
    Total: £1.50 + 200pts
Using: 200pts WYB any album or frame ACM voucher

NB. Tried to use the 100pts WYB any washbag with a reduced natural collection one (£1) but it wouldn't work and manager wouldn't override...doesn't matter!

    Shop 3

    3 x barry M glitter pots

Total = £10 redeemed my points

    Shop 4

    TD Pamper kit £7.49
    No7 tan wipe 50p *

    Total: £2.99 + 200pts
Using: 200pts WYB no7 suncare HB voucher, £5 till spit

*bit of confusion with this as it should have scanned for 50p (as marked on the SEL) but came up as £1! In the end I returned it but in the confusion (didn't realise til i got home) the SA forgot to take off the points!

Hope everyone else has had a good bootsing day! I'm off to re-arrange my vouchers into the cute little albums!:D

Just put in an online order for £29, got £13.48 in points. Not as good as some people, but couldnt justify wasting money on Arden stuff I won't use.

Got Natural collection stuff (last lot - got enough to last a lifetime!)
    Maybelline mineral foundation
    Nat collection mascara
    Rimmel Eyeshadow

Natural collection mascara will go to my mum as I already have a load of mascaras.
    Dooyoo £10.40/40, TopCashBack £17.19/30, Valued Opinions 50p/£10, Swagbucks 0/£20, Ebay £15/£25

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" to whoever it was who posted that you could top up on Orange for £5. I'd always assumed it was £10, so that's what I did last time the £5 till spits were on. Today, however, I split it, did two separate £5 top ups and got two £5 till spits. Now, if I could only find somewhere with the cheap (free!!) Time Delay stuff in stock, I'd be laughing.....:rotfl:
    Thanks!
