Very nice chap just picked up the awning so that cash will save me going to the bank all week. But just had a bill for my car repair - £145 :( - still could have been worse. And have had to get breakdown cover as both cars have had failures recently and we have long journeys coming up. But did through quidco so should get cash back at least.

However everything still within budget I think. One job for today is to go through the spreadsheet carefully and make sure nothing is out of order. But first things first - need to put together a weekend "to do" list.

    Be back soon..

Oh poot on the car problems! still at least you had some money come in to cover it!

Well I have done most of the online and computer jobs so I can't avoid the housework much longer!

Managed to get through to BC and transferred my last two high interest balances onto that - 6.5% LOB with no fee! :T Between that and OH's payrise my new DFD is August 09 but if I keep up the £20 a day challenge it comes forward to April. Still got that in my sights!

Budget is a bit tighter. Most is on track but there have been a few unexpected payments this month - car, breakdown cover - and I have had to pay for my 6 months supply of contacts. So will have to keep an eye on things carefully. Should be fine as we have extra money and expenses coming back with luck.

I try and avoid housework as long as possible as well - and seeing as I cannot do it while Dr Dragon is around (dust allergy) then it will have to wait for another 2 weeks (oh Goddess I am gutted you can tell can't you! :rotfl::o:rotfl:)

Good news on finding the extra £20!! Bonus!!

Good news too on the awning sale!

Now, about that housework.........I am starting mine at 2pm.......need to have some lunch and another coffee or two before that!!

My aim is to get it done sufficiently so that I can sit down in relative calm this evening!

Sounds like a plan. I will start at 2 as well - still to have lunch - but will need to go out and pick some stuff up about 3 so won't get everything done before then.

    So my rough plan:

2-3 - get kitchen more or less sorted
    3-5 - out
5-7 finish kitchen, hoover downstairs and tidy lounge
evening eat, take dogs out, ebay, relax a bit!

    tomorrow:
am - take dogs out, freecyclers coming - in between strim some!
pm - finish strimming, fix fence, clean and tidy upstairs
evening eat, take dogs out, do some on funding, crash out!

    Off we go! Lunch first.

While clearing the kitchen I found my purse and took the loose change as usual for the piggybank. But also found I had 5 £2 coins! Haven't had any in ages and now 5 at once. Must be an omen. Last year I saved these for treats and it was great - could raid it when we felt the need to go out or get a takeaway or whatever. So think I will try that again. They have gone into my sheep-piggybank (sheepybank?) and I will try to save all the £2 coins I find.
