Ooh, these sound good. I like these a *lot*. I like the way you use lists in general, actually, repeating and crossing out and whatnot. V effective.

I've thought I might have to limit my social time on here to half an hour at a time, something like that - i.e apart from m.b.ing or researching the dilution of stardrops.... I need to get out, too!

    Watcher doing today?

Thanks Karma - list thing (and the long term planning!) is unashamedly nicked from Hypno (what would we do without her? :)) - but it really is working for me (so thanks Hypno!). I have an organiser thing and a to do list there but to be honest when it is only me I can just pass things by. This gives me an incentive to see those strike throughs - and I know I can rely on you guys to nag relentlessly if I give up! :p

Need to sort out a simialr way of monitoring progress towards Plans 1-4. Perhaps a weekly 4 point update will do it? What I have done this week to move me forward on each of these?

I know what you mean about restricting MSE - I am well and truly addicted again now - really should limit myself as I spend too much time on the computer (most of work is computer based). But my "just a quick check" turns into a "catch up on each diary" and like the Forth Road Bridge once I finish I just have to go back and check them all again! :o:rolleyes::D

Will post up a list for today shortly - gotta get going with it!

OK we have the long term plans ... still need to do the daily lists as well.
So today (OK I know it is half way through it for some who go for healthy runs early in the morning but better late than never! :o)
    • Clear out garage - sort things to bring home, things for tip, things for car boot, freecycle
    • Read through some stuff on business planning OH has dug out for me - need to plan for the development of dog training business (contributes to Plans 1&2).
    • Order dog food (get month supply at a time)
    • Work out menu plans for the week and shopping list. (contributes to Plan 3)
    • Do online shop
    • [strike]Matched betting - try to progress Euro[/strike] Lumped a load on Federer at 1.02/1.02 - there is a rule difference so it has a slight risk (if Federer retires before one set is played I lose it all!) but to be honest I am so sick of the rubbish odds at this bookie and I just want to do the WR and get out - and the odds of such a disaster happening to Fed. have to be slim! (Famous last words!)
    • Do a decent dog walk (Contributes to Plan 4)

I see you are :T ..... desperate measures called for methinks..... not helped by the fact that I bought biscuits for the workshop and noone ate any - so they all came home with me! Can't let them go to waste can I?:o

Quick update before lunch and then going to the garage....
    • Clear out garage - sort things to bring home, things for tip, things for car boot, freecycle

    • [strike]Order dog food (get month supply at a time)[/strike] DONE
    • Work out menu plans for the week and shopping list. (contributes to Plan 3)
    • Do online shop
    • [strike]Matched betting - try to progress Euro[/strike] DONE Lumped a load on Federer at 1.02/1.02 - there is a rule difference so it has a slight risk (if Federer retires before one set is played I lose it all!) but to be honest I am so sick of the rubbish odds at this bookie and I just want to do the WR and get out - and the odds of such a disaster happening to Fed. have to be slim! And added new one:
    • [strike]Set up instant access cash ISA to take the emergency fund/annual costs budget[/strike] DONE - gone for A&L - not the absolute top payer but 6% and convenient as all online and am with A&L for banking. Plan is to pay £250 a month into this. Once mine is full will set one up for OH - or maybe should do that straight away and put £125 in each? Any advantage either way oh finance wizards? (we share all finances and are civil partners - would be simpler to have one account but will do two if there is a good reason). Anyway might have to withdraw some for annuals but will be trying to pay those out of savings in the normal budget so this can stay put and be either the tax fund or the final payments on the cards later in the year.

There are loads of people more organised than me..........

benben for starters - no one is as organised as she is, I am sure!!!

If only you saw the state of my house, you would be saying very very different things :rotfl:

I think the only way I can claim to being organised is that somehow, those things that really "need" doing, get done.....somehow.....more or less!!!!
