Yep - it will do later in then month. Funding is a work thing - it is for a government grant to develop some technology to support work-based learners. Wouldn't normally be doing it on a bank holiday but as I was ill last week and the deadline waits for no man (or woman) I need to get going on it.
Excellent on the money coming off the card and yes! if you want the funding then you need to get it done and back!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Do you do a lot of funding applications mizmir?
At the moment yes. We rely on grant based funding to do a lot of the exploratory work we do - and a key part of my role is to apply for that. Win some, lose some. Have been quite successful recently though - last year won about £500K in grants - pity I can't do it for my personal funds!!0 -
Cool. I might have to pick your brain later in the year then, I have to find £10k twice if possible! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Will do my best to help. Main thing is to match your application really closely to the funding call so that you hit all the buttons they are looking for. But am happy to help if I can.0 -
funding is a funny thing isnt it ...
hows things miz? have you got any pesky plans up your sleeve...there seems to be a spate of activity going on on the boards0 -
There is isn't there? Have been thinking about plans (inspired by Hypno - as always!).
Plan 1 - New budget started today which allows £1400 against debts each month if we're careful - and I am going to try to top that up by at least the £10 a day each month and ideally £20. I will do that with matched betting, part time dog training, extra work at work etc - and OH's extra work will count too. Our current DFD is September 2009 - I want to bring that forward to April 2009 if I can.
Plan 2 - Get into position to reduce my full time work to 80% contract by April 2009. That means two things - achieving Plan 1 and building up the dog training enough to fill the salary gap.
Plan 3 - Stop wasting stuff - money, food, time. So meal planning - get back into decent eating and not wasting food or eating junk. Think much more carefully about purchases. Prioritise time better.
Plan 4 - Get fit - Plan 3 will help. And more exercise (as long as it doesn't involve running at crazy hours on Sunday mornings!)
Will those do? Are they possible?0 -
Evening/Morning Mizmir...well done on the payment to Mint and your targets sound great as well and I'm sure you will achieve them all.0

Ooh, these sound good. I like these a *lot*. I like the way you use lists in general, actually, repeating and crossing out and whatnot. V effective.
I've thought I might have to limit my social time on here to half an hour at a time, something like that - i.e apart from m.b.ing or researching the dilution of stardrops.... I need to get out, too!
