Hmm... right... call me a cynic, but I'll be keeping a close eye on this one :)

    Thanks for the input.

Don't worry. I'm a cynic too - as I said ,I think BG know more than we do.

I also share your cynicism but I really do think the Regulator would have a role in this.

I also agree that BG know a lot more about future energy price trends than us mere mortals. Rather like bookmakers they ‘fix the odds’ and we can take the bet or refuse it.

We will know if it was a good bet in 2010.

Hi did anyone decide if this was a good deal ?

I signed up to it a few months ago.

I like BG, good customer service, good deal on phone weekends and evening free calls, and discount for not sending me bills through the post :)

Those who signed up will know by 2010 if it was a good deal! Or you can cut your losses and bale out(paying the penalty) if you find you have 'backed the wrong horse'.

You must be careful not to praise BG on this forum as you will upset people ;)

British gas have discontinued this offer ofter receiving 1.2million customer requests for it. So if you haven't signed up & intended to, you're too late :(

With the current discussion on BG's latest price rises, I think this thread should be looked at every 6 months or so; if only for the people - including a BG employee - who can be so confident in their advice.

    e.g
no I wouldn't touch PP2010 with a barge poll (if I had one)
