Selling free range eggs? How much do you charge?

Chicken food has come down in price now to £6.20 a bag, so my eggs came down to £1.60 doz. But they are slow laying at the moment. None to sell.

Penny-Pincher!!

I've started buying from the Milkman at £1.19 for 6 large FR Eggs. They are local and always fresh and have had a few double yokers.

I have a veg box delivered weekly and they also do free range eggs. I pay £2.00 for a dozen eggs per week. Lovely eggs and much cheaper than supermarket.

we are in leicestershire and pay £1.50 a dozen from local farm but i am we do tend to have organic free range with out abel and cole del which are £1.99 per 1/2 dozen.

the farm shop is a little out the way and only open 4 days a week so its by chance i go there on way past.

would def pay £1.80 a dozen for free range eggs

I'm in Leicestershire too, do you mind me asking which local farm you use? I could do with another supplier for my veggies etc?

For those of you in Central London there are a number of egg sellers at Borough Market and although I think it's not the cheapest place to shop you can get a dozen free range for £1.80 - Cheaper than our local tesco Barn eggs!

I buy mine from a woman at work - 90p for half a dozen. She lives on a farm and brings them in once a week for several people. They tast lovely and have a really tasty yolk (the best bit in my opinion)
OH picks up free range eggs on his travels - there is a honesty box at the farm gate near where he works once a month.

we sell our free range eggs to family and neighbours ect,for £1. 1/2doz,they are fresh and lovely!!they eagerly pay for them.
3 ex-batts and 4 young ias browns, delightfull little pets,no harder than rabbits to care for.

I pay £3.25 for a tray of 30, first thing I do when I pick up my eggs after I have collected them is make poached eggs on toast! Nomnomnom

I was paying about £2.50 + for 12 FR eggs from the supermarket.

My dad works with a guy who has loads of chickens, he sells a dozen of LARGE eggs for 85p! I'm in egg heaven! They are delicious too, the yolks don't pop and splurt all over when you cook them.
