I have found a brand new child's dyson vacuum cleaner toy in a bin outside the shops! That was a while ago. Found £10 note on the floor in Tescos a few weeks ago.

Every time me or one of the children find a penny I tell them it was dropped by an angel to make them smile.

Found £30 this morning when I walked round my mate's house to collect my car (just a wee-bit too drunk to drive after the rugby-fest yesterday!)

Guess I'll be off to the police station tomorrow - I keep thinking it might be someone that really needs it - could be someone on here! :undecided

Good for you:T :T :T I'd really hope that most people would, if it's not claimed you'll be given it back, then you'd be able to spend it with a clear conscience:D :D

  • I have found a few of the 5p off a litre at tescos vouchers. One of the best finds was someones walletstuffed full of £50 notes. I handed it in at police station and recieved a phone call from the owner. Turned out his son had a restaurant and he had withdrawn his cash that day to pay workmen. We got invited to open evening, hobnobbed with local celebs and kept getting sent invites in post for such evenings for quite a while(meals and drinks included) sadly he closed down. But it was nice while it lasted, and in all honesty we were touched because they really didnt have to. The first one was enough. we still get the odd postcard as well.

I found 2p on the ground the other day! I was so excited I spent the rest of the day scanning the ground...and nearly walked into several lamp-posts. The cost of a new pair of glasses might well cancell out any loose change I find!

Took it in today. WPC on counter duty seemed more than a little surprised, and said she didn't think it was very likely that anyone would even bother phoning - they'd just assume it was gone for good.

    Made me feel good. :A
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
  • I've found two of the £5 vouchers you get for free at Boots when you spend £10 or more. Found one in the car park, and one in Boots. The one in store I left for about ten minutes, then went back (in case someone had just dropped it) but then decided that Boots would just throw it away if they found it so spent it!

I love looking in the lockers at the swimming pool- used to be 10ps when I was a kid but now it's £1s! Somehow more acceptable for 8 year olds to do it though!

Glad you felt good:D But isn't it sad that most people wouldn't bother to phone because they expect it to be gone for goodicon9.gif

I found an unopened bag of Tesco's pistachios this morning. Unfortunately I didn't feel confident enough to pick them up as they were outside a home that opens strait on to the street so I would have effectively been taking something off someone's doorstep.

But it was still exciting to see them there. If they remain when I go past this evening I may grab them... (unlikely I know)
  • I found 10p on the floor by the checkout in Staples yesterday and I spent an agonizing (what do you expect, I am from Yorkshire :D ) 2 minutes hoping that the man in front of me wouldn't see it. He didn't, phew!!

And I found 1p in the grass on the caravan park an hour ago
