eBay policy. Aggressive?

Hello

I've been having some serious problem with my ebay accounts.
Basically one of my account has been suspended as I was auctioning an item that apparentely break the VERO protection code. I accept that suspension in full and of course I'm sorry to have done that.
The problem is that they permanently closed other 2 accounts I had because for their policy you can't use other accounts if you are suspended, but I had those other ones before the suspension and I found unfair that they are affected but all this.
eBay did all of this in less than 24 hours without even leaving me the time to appeal against and prove my honest mistake. And I've been a good eBayer for over 4 years without having any major problem, paying them and their paypal 'partner' money every month.

Any advice?
Thanks

This is how they are now.

If they don't want your custom, there are plenty of other places to take it.

Usually they give you warnings before suspension.

    Yes, 4 times.

You just get the boot, no warnings.

Best advice would be to contact them by letter stating your case. Have they closed your accounts permanently or suspended for a length of time?

I guess it depends on the violation, if it was on VERO it could be any number of rights issues, from selling counterfeits to reselling an item purchased in a shop. The mroe unscrupulous sellers tend to be able to have several accounts running that they can continue to use by bypassing other rules, so you either need to be more honest or more dishonest:confused:

Bit presumptious of you! As for the other comment...who are you the 'moral' guide on mse?

I am a VERY 'good' girl and have been suspended twice due to vero and I had done nothing wrong! They do not even bother looking into your listings properly before pressing that button, so if a 'competitor' reports you for vero, your off till you fill out the forms and prove your case!

Arte all I can suggest to you is that you fill out the suspension form, explain it i not justified, speak also to live help on ebay as they are good now days and when the reinstate you, you're able to pop your listings up straight away. It used to take a month to sort, but will not take long at all now. If you are suspended you can still post on the community boards and they can guide you through getting reinstated and will not judge any reason you, or any others, may have or not have broken any vero's unlike the posts above

hth and good luck in getting up and running again soon

It isn't presumptious on fay's part at all, if you read other posts by Dave Brooker (various user names) he has always been quite upfront about how he works on ebay, he does not hide behind pleasantries.

Also as for the OP they appear to admit in their post that they were in breach of VERO rules, so we need to suggest ways of getting back on as quickly and smoothly as possible and to avoid falling foul of the rules again. The suggestion to contact ebay and ask for details of the breach and for the length of suspension is a good place to start.

It is always worth remembering that for standard policy breaches sellers are given warnings. Vero is different and is usually monitored by an outside company protecting their rights, so ebay will occasionally pull listings without suspension for a first offence or for a few number of listings, but suspend if there has been any other warnings on the account for any reason in the past.

Also if you have been suspended once then you will never get another warning, you will just get suspended for any breach in future as warnings and suspensions are cumulative.

In the future there will also be more automatic suspensions under the 'lowest 5% of sellers' rule, this is similar to the rule already being used for Amazon sellers where a few complaints, a neutral or negative comment or two and bang, you're suspended for a month.
