  • harrisonb,I'll tell you what. In the spirit of MSE, how about we both save and make money at the same time.

I'll not bother taking the house, but let's say that you would have given me £30,000 off a £200,000 house. Could you just send me the cash please. This means that I'll also save £2000 Stamp Duty, plus legal fees, say £1,000 and a valuation fee, say another £600. Total costs saving of £3600 :j

Now for your saving. I've saved you legal fees for selling at say £450. Estate Agents Fees at £3525 (1.5% of £200k + VAT) and I don't want a furniture pack or any fitted kitchen, appliances, carpets or curtains. Say another £14,000. That's a total of £17975.

I'm sure that you will appreciate the time and effort I've gone to to save you so much money so I'd appreciate from you 10% of your saving in return, that's £1797.50.

If you could send a cheque for £1797.50 + £30,000 total £31797.50 payable to Ian Griffiths and I can assure you that I will donate it to a charity chosen by the highest vote of users on this site.

Thanks in anticipation and I expect that the cheque is in the post!
I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.
