So, not everything at all then...
Debenhams have no control over what concession departments give as discount, as they are only renting space within the store so can make up their own rules.
From what I have seen all Debenhams products have discounts between 10 - 25% with Hot Offers having 50%+ off.
A large majority of product have either 20% off or 25% off.I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
SHA1
Is working on the Debenhams online ordering site for free delivery.
Just saved myself £3.95 as well as £14 on discounted products0 -
I just got myself a beautiful white prom dress for a wedding at the end of this month. Was £90, got 20% off and noticed a thread was loose so sales assistant checked and there were no more my size.
She consulted her supervisor who told her to discount it further and still write on receipt that I could exchange it ( as I needed to try it on with the correct underwear!!)
I got it for £58 in the end, what a bargain and 5 stars to Debenhams for excellent customer service. It was the South Shields branch, can recommend them as all staff appeared friendly and helpful.0 -
I have been waiting for the sale as I had seen a dress ages ago I wanted so I ran in there so excited. The price tag on my dress had gone up £10 from when I first saw it 6 weeks ago! It used to be £90 but now is £100 so with the discount is £80. Still a good saving but feel a little ripped off as I expected the dress to still be £90 and get 25% off that!
The baby clothes that were in the sale a while back have gone up to full price then have the 25% taken off. It has made them more expensive than they were before the "spectacular" :eek:0 -
theres a 20% off code that works too on the vouchers and codes forum :j0

I used to work at Debenhams, if you're trying to return a branded good (as I suspect that coffee machine may have been?) without a reciept you won't be allowed to. Occasionally if you cause a massive fuss and know the exact date and time that you bought your item, then it can be looked up on the system, but i think there is definetily a time limit to it (i think it might be the 28 days) I think that even if the item is faulty we weren't allowed to give a refund on branded goods without a reciept- although i can't be sure.
One of the things I hated was people with Radley bags complaining because their dog had fallen off or that they'd scratched the leather. It's not our fault! For future reference, contact Radley customer services if you don't have a dog, because Radley seem to hate sending out spare dogs to Debenhams.
So as I always said to customers- if it's a branded good, keep your reciept!0 -

it probably wasnt a permanent price reduction. Not everything that goes into a sale is then kept at that price.0 -
All over thank god! I hope every1 managed to grab a bargin! I bought so much that I haven't even tried on yet, but at least I can swap it for other bits I like over the next few weeks. (Or lose enough weight so I can look nice in the stuff I have bought!)I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

I guess this should be moved to the "gone but was it any good bit" now.
I'm now extremely disappointed and fizzing a bit to be honest.
I ordered something that I had my eye on for ages at 4.15am (don't ask :rotfl: ) on the Wednesday at a bargain price and have now found out only today that it is out of stock. It was in stock when I put it in my basket - don't they have a realtime stock control system for online sales?
I'm also fuming at myself for not just going down to my local store at 9am to try to get it there, only I didn't because it was a heavy item.
Not only that, if Debenhams had told me sooner that it was out of stock, eg last week when I ordered it, I could have gone to the brand's retail outlet, which is a fair distance away from me but I happened to be in its vicinity on Sunday, to see if I could have picked up the item or similar there for a bargain price.
I'm not impressed; I guess if it's out of stock, it's out of stock, but why take a week to tell me? I doubt if I'll use their online service again.0
