Why not use the credit card to pay for day to day use to use up the 'credit' of £900?

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

So what happened? Did you call the bank this morning? Were they able to stop the payment?

Please don't keep us in suspense!

Please tell so we can learn from your mistakes.... please.

hi , hope you got it sorted - if not - could you pay some of your normal expenses for this month on the credit card ( ie with the extra £900), then just pay it off at the rate you had originally been planning to? not ideal but better than starving!!

    Hi Guys

I rang at 8:01am this morning, the lady I spoke to could not have been more helpful she recalled my payment and then made the correct payment for me, no umming or ahhing - just said it was obviously an error given previous activity on my account. So I am now £901 better off than I was last night. Won't be making that mistake again - going to set up a d/d!!

Thanks again for all the help and advice last night - glad it has been sorted :j :j

    lol Starkiller!

Thanks for the update! I'm so glad you got it sorted.

I know we all usually hate the banking institutes and how unfair they are to us but I must say, I am with the HSBC and they have been very helpful to me in the past. Sometimes it is good to stay with one bank and build up a pattern so they can see genuine mistakes, unfortunately that's often the only loyalty reward you get from them. Wouldn't it be lovely if just one bank broke ranks and started rewarding their loyal customers with lower interest rates on their OD/CC's and/or higher interest on their savings? The world would be a much nicer place to bank! lol

    Thanks again for the update.

It would be lovely if they all behaved in that way. I have been with HSBC for nearly 15 years and they have always been brilliant - touch wood. :D
