The great hunt for Laser Eye Surgery.
I found a great deal last year on eBay. The MD of Optimax is selling surgery to fill up spaces during the quieter periods.
From memory it was £695 for both eyes. I had contiplated having it done before, but choose not to due to the price. Once I spoted the advert on eBay I had to have it done. When working it out with cost of contact lenses and new glasses it would take about 4 years to become value for money..after all this is what this website is all about.
Would recommend to anybody who is considering having it done I know have perfect vision which I have not had for 12 years. :think:0 -

Take a look at This Morning website there may be some info on there as Philip Schofield tested them before Christmas and it worked.0 -
There is a thing called Ortho K, which corrects a persons vision by reversing the power of the cornea during overnight wear of specially designed contact lenses https://www.orthoklenses.com Only heard of them today so don't have any detailed info but ideally suited for the squeamish and I guess it costs no more than wearing contact lenses during the day except you can also do sports with no blurriness.

Something spooky going on! met a friend last week from Liverpool who unbeknown to me had laser eye treatment last august with optimax. Absolutely thrilled with results; life-changing, best money ever spent etc.etc.
Since our meeting my phone and computer have been red hot researching laser surgery and i just ended up confused. I logged on at 4pm today and saw martin's latest money tip and the words laser eye treatment. The rest just followed; read all the posts, thought i would give e-bay a shot and lo-and behold the offer is still on for 2 days. What impressed me most was the exhaustive list of questions and answers many of which have been buzzing round my brain for the last week or so. i have learnt more in the last 15 minutes than during the last week. I was also interested to see that the interest-free option involves no lengthy forms or credit checks. As someone who is trying to open a savings account with Cahoot at the moment not to borrow but to deposit 100k! jumping through all their hoops is an absolute, total nightmare .......anyway that is another story!0 -
Hi Dixiechick,
Whereabouts on ebay did you see this as I can't see it anywhere.
Thanks, Shaun0 -
Just search for laser eye treatment and they should come up. All the questions are on their link.0

I was quote £195 set up fee and a monthly fee of £32 for the contact lenses that you wear in the evening. From what I remember from This Morning they are a hard lense so take some getting use to, although you do put them in when you go to bed so once you are asleep you wouldn't be aware of them.Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
I'm getting lasik surgery from optical express. My friend who is a personal injury lawyer is suing optimax, so I wasn't to keen to save 200 pounds on the account of permanently damaging my eye. I set up a number of free consultations and the best customer service and marketing I received was with Ultralease. However they are 400 pounds more expensive than Optical express and even more expensive than Optimax. Oh well.
Now my problem is I have a surplus of disposable contact lenses (acuvue 2) and don't know where or how I can sell it. Any ideas?0
