Hi - did my first car boot sale in a long while today - £20 up on the morning

Went into town for the town fete (a churches re-united sort of do) - to my delight everything was free (with a medium queue) - bouncy castles, climbing wall, and best of all a pig roast - so got a free lunch out of it !!

    other MS things:
    • NSD
    • Sainsbury's fruit & fibre (50p they are at least 95% as good as the original)
    • Taught my DS to like Tesco Value Porridge (40p for a month's worth) - I'm not Scottish but his grandfather is
    • Gave in when my DS insisted on his favorite supper (Tesco Value Noodles 8p)
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Sounds like everyone has had fun and saved money today:T :T :T
Well done everyone:D It's nice to have regular posters on this thread now as it is building into a little community.

It's thanks to you, sophiesmum, for starting it every day - keeps us all on the DFW journey despite what 'carp' comes in to hijack our travels!! I love reading about what we've all been up to - inspires me and gives me much needed push in the right direction!
3 cheers for sophiesmum I say!

    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

No great strides from me today really, though it has been an NSD and we stayed home. Most ebay buyers have paid already which is cool, so I just wrote out all the addresses so I can post things in the morning. Kinda gave myself the day off - spent most of it in the garden reading a book (once I'd put the final touches on finishing the patio!). OH listed and sold a couple things on ebay though.

Just wanted to post to say hello and popping into this thread daily is part of my day now too really... yes, I actually put the computer on just to come and do this, haha. :)

edit: oo I forgot, made another £7.03 on eBay myself too.

Well, posting a bit late, but better than never (I cant sleep)
    - went for a free walk = free fresh air
    - made a charitable donation as a wedding present for a friend (oxfam unwrapped - bought some school books for Kenyan children), the couple have been together a long time and I figured this is better than buying them another kettle
    - washed the throws on my sofa - helps keep sofa clean when I have a 1 yr old
    - didnt actually do much else
