    Hi All,

Thank goodness that it is a Bank Holiday :j.

Woke up this morning, hoping to do nothing (watch DVD's tend to veggies etc) ready for work tomorrow. Went into the kitchen to discover my mum measuring up for some units (kitchen trolley type thing), then she hands me a list, and asks if I can reserve these so that we can pick them up (mum doesn't drive). Great ~ so I have to get changed (from jogging bottoms to jeans ~ my jogging bottoms are for the gym only).

So, I still plan to have a NSD, I will walk around town with my hands in my pockets ~ trying not to look like Kevin the teenager!

    Have a great day everyone

    Today I have/will

    - will check online banking, update my spreadsheet and signature
    - will reconcile my cash spending
    - have collected some wonderful stuff from freecycle that has potential to turn into profit in the future (when I get the time)
    - cook pasta from cupboard/freezer and serve same for supper (didn't cook supper yesterday as managed to stretch lunch further than
    I thought)
    - have a NSD
    - have taken the dog for a walk with DD (free excercise and fresh air)
    - will continue listing books in both my Amazon and eBid shops
    - will play cash back bingo and make a list of sites I have still free money left and best times to play in them
    - nag DD's dad to get her the new wellies he promised (or at least send the money so I can do it ;) )
    - stop stressing myself of lack of cleaning in this house for one more day and promise to tackle it room by room starting tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragment guys, but as long as we all do something everyday we'll get there in the end. Sometimes i wish i would have a day off to just relax, but once everything in my life catchs up with itself i will have a day all to myself!

Eternal optimist, text books sell really well on Amazon, just put the ibn code in and it will find the book and then there will be an option to sell one similair. I do this all the time with mine! Congrats on getting your degree by the way, i'm currently half way through mine. Have you any plans for the degree?

Cheers for the advice, Andan:D Good luck with your degree progress too:T :j I did an Open Degree comprised mainly of mental health and social care courses with a bit of criminology and social policy thrown in. Would love to work in Mental Health but opportunities are a bit limited where I live.....but will keep looking:D

    Hello everyone!

I am a bit more cheery today, DS 18th Birthday tomorrow, (can't believe I am old enough to have a son 18 years old, still only feel 18 myself!!) So feeling in a bit of a party mood.

    Today I have/will

Done 2 loads washing on 30 degrees - hung on line to dry (not raining yet but looking doubtful)
General housework, but not much progress made due to painting etc still going on here! dust everywhere:mad:
Took dogs for a lovely long walk

Go to meet DD from work at 3pm, buy bottle of vodka towards party at weekend (on offer at Somerfield) and a card for DD to give him.
    Should be a low one!:D

    Have a great Bank Hol!

Glad you are feeling happier. I know exactly how you feel about not feeling old enough. My DS1 is 21 this year and I can't quite believe it:eek: . Thankfully he has no intention of having kids anytime soon as I am definately too young to be a grandma:eek:

I agree with Andan , amazon is great for OU text books, I have sold lots of mine on there for decent prices, especially just before the courses start prior to Oct, Feb. Just undercut the lowest price and you usually get a quick sale:D

I'm doing a social policy course at the moment, gets a bit boring at times though:o

Godd look with the job hunting in your particular field, hope something comes up soon for you that takes recognition of your skills and determination, as it can be hard work doing an O.U, especially if you have a family. Luckily there is only me and the boyfriend, so less commitments.

Thanks Sophiesmum, I totally agree with you, we are far too young to be grannies just yet.  My DS was discussing children with his OH yesterday, she wants to be a young mum (NO!!!) luckily he wants to wait a while.

    Take care,
