A fruitful trip to Mr T's. There were some nice offers there so with those savings and some more Paypal money drawn down, I've added another £100.00 to my savings potI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Afternoon everyone. I have been lurking as things have been busy but still flying. I had a general clear up of hotspots, etc last night and put the summer duvet on, changed the bedding, etc.
gunsandbanjos - hope your cat is ok. Hugs.
pigpen - Hope your hayfever is better soon.
I can't find "that" thread in The Arms with Black Saturn - I read through some of it a few days ago and wanted to see what the latest was but I can't find it! Have they deleted it??
*RANT ALERT*
I am dogsitting a shitsu (last night to Saturday) and as it's hot outside, I decided to bring her to work. She's very quiet - just naps all day so no fuss. My MD and secretary are away today so thought it would be ok as MD normally brings his in on a daily basis so, I didn't bother asking him. As I'm sat eating lunch, the MD of our parent company comes in and sees her. Now I'm afraid he's going to tell my MD and he will go mad cause I didn't ask. My heart is pounding and I know I'm over-reacting... I was thinking I'll tell him I popped home for lunch and it was really hot in the kitchen so I brought her in for the afternoon and I hope he didn't mind. AHHHHHHHH. Why can't things just go smoothly?!?!?!
*RANT OVER*
My flying list for the weekend:
Clear out 2 junk drawers
Put all clothes away in the spare room
WM x (how ever many it takes)
Meet the Vicar at the church where we're getting married & bring deposit
Get out summer clothes and put winter clothes in the loft!
Do not spend any money other than deposit on church.
That should do it. Have a good afternoon everyone! Ash xxOfficial DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
I have come to a stop and done nothing but make lunch since collecting littley. I will do HHC from 1.30 aim to get all the floors done and quick tidy in our room, which as we live in a bungalow seems to be the dumping ground:mad: . Found a few more bits to ebay so may do that after girls ballet class tomorrow.0

I start training 8th September *happy dance* The woman who interviewed me told me it wasn't worth me starting the course now as by the time I've done the induction and found a placement the kids would be breaking up for the summer so I'd end up waiting 6 weeks. PLUS most secondary schools are up in the air ATM with exams so I wouldn't be getting any proper experience/training anyway. Also, due to the length of the course if I start in September I will get additional financial help as I would have been on benefits for 12 months when the course ends. Looks good so far, now all I have to do is re-write my CV to include my homemanagement skills (time management, budgeting, meeting deadlines
), and some other bits and pieces to cover me for the last 7-8 years of non-paid employment!
While I was in town I popped into Wilkos and got some showergel (soap dries my skin out too much and it was on BOGOF:money:) and a voile panel for the back door which is "popsicle pink" with sequins onSo I've cut the tab tops off, made a small hole in the seam at the top of the panel, threaded in my pole from the winter curtain and put it up (then put another pole in the bottom seam to weight it down for the time being) - now I can have my back door open in the warm weather without getting a house full of flies or bees or wasps - well worth the £6 in my opinion as it looks pretty too.
Wondering about doing something similar on all the windows... but not sure yet. Off to have a look at Wilkos online when I'm done here.
WM on with DD's quilt, but I'm doing nothing else - my feet are killing me and I've developed blisters on the underneath of my big toes as my boots rubbed and the soles were more worn than I thought.currently sitting in my jammies cooked and exhausted but know I can't go back to bed as I'll never get up in time to get DD from school.

Been to asda, unpacked the stuff that needs to be unpacked and now it's time to go get DS1. But DS2 is snoring on the sofa. I'm driving today as I have to go to the post office too. I know, I'm bad
Got some nice new nail files from asda so will do my nails later.
No sun cream wipes though, sorry lil_me. Just sprays, botlles and sticks.0 -
Got the floors done, plus kitchen tidied and sink shined.
Also sorted ironing basket and now looks less scarey;) (all socks, tea towels etc removed).
Our bedroom tidied and stuff moved to proper homes.
Well done Nicki:T .0
