I got my DH one of those light diode thingies which you put up your nose. It makes you look like Rudolph for the short time it's on, but he has found it really helpful. It stops his sneezing straight away. You can get a Lloyds Pharmacy on special atm.
Thanks justamum and everyone else for hayfever info! My hayfever is mostly watery eyes - will check on the light diode and see if it will help! Hopefully it won't set off my nosebleeds. I am a walking nightmare when it comes to illnesses, syndromes, etc..! It's a wonder how I've only had to take 1 day off in 3 years!
Hope your day gets better Tia!
Right, I'm off to look at weekly food shopping lists. I have spent £200 in just 10 days - for TWO people. I told you I have problems with food shops. Where does it all go?!? That only includes £20 on alcohol (I promise)! I really need to sort myself out.Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Just caught up on some of the thread.
Congratulations Michelle, :beer:0 -
Right back out to invigilate for me. Did not get much done whilst at home - washing out, soup made, breakfast dishes done. Oh well. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Oh I will have to have a look for that! Can't seem to take any of the drugs as they make me drowsy or very agitated.
My hayfever medication makes me drowsy too, but if you persevere it goes(or it does for me anyway). When i start taking mine again i take the first one at night just before i go to bed, same the 2nd night. By the third day i'm fine:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hey everyone,
I had a phone call from the school at 11.30 saying that DS was feeling unwell... so got up there picked him up, 5 mins into the journey home and he was asking if he could play the wii  we get home and he says he is feeling much better now and can he play in the garden? He is sulking in the lounge now as I said no to both (feeling a bit mean though...)
If I let him do fun stuff that is sending the wrong message? isn't it?I think he just got a little hot (very warm here) long socks and long sleeved shirt & tie probably doesn't help... and he was in the sick room under a duvet
I have an hour before I need to go get DD1 :rotfl: best go see what I can get done0 -
Ooh, ooh, ooh - look - POST 200!
ChasingButterflies - my mum used to do exactly the same if we stayed home ill. We were banished to our bedrooms (no tv or music) until 3pm when school finished! I never tought it was mean but, then again - I learned never to pull a sickie! Ahh - bless him being in the sick room under a duvet! Perhaps he just got a bit overheated. Hope he is feeling better!Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
*Runs in gasping for breath*
Today..
DD3 @ pi$$y clinic.. they agreed it is a problem that she is peeing every single night at 7.5.. you think???!!
I've posted my mothers 2 ebay things
Paid half my monthly littlewoods payment.. the rest I'll do next week.
And the best bit..
I've spent half an hour on the phone to wilkinsons because my order (£90) was left out the front of my house by Amtrak and someone apparently pulled up in a van (according to my nosey neighbour) and loaded the things into their van and drove off.. he is so nosey he neglected to take the registration number..(bet it was him!) Oh well.. it gives me something to do I guess!
AND.. Tiddles has caked herself in lipgloss.. argh!!! MY BESTEST ONE!!!!!!!!!! ... toad!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Back from dropping DS2 off. I stripped the beds before we left and uhm.... well... they are allergy releif pillows... and we have been using a havy feather duvet that I hate and the summer one needs cleaning... and well.... I bought a new duvet and 4 pillows
4.5tog duvet £10.99
4 silentnight anti-allergy pillows for £12 baragin I say.
So much for saving cash....
I poseted an ebay item also, checked my active ones, all 6 have watchers and 2 have bids :T Will save my paypal cash for the fiesta road tax due end of June. Now to phone and book my car into get the clutch start fixed and find out how much to replace these brakes. My happy grand savings are going to be shrunk I think.
Pigpen, I should think that deserves compensation! Wish you had thought of that yourself eh? LOL!0 -
