why would they get suspicious if you only made evening and weekend calls
after all you could be at work all day , A lot of people are .They dont know and dont need to know.
Probably my overactive imagination. If they are "au fait" with forums like this they would surely know that anyone with any sense would use their service for the free calls, and go elsewhere like 18866/1899 for the rest.
I take your point though, I could be at work all day like you say, and they probably don't have the time to wade through all suspects
I have to wait until the 23rd before I can use dial saver, seems a long time off, but at least it is something to look forward to.0 -
do justdialsaver charge a connection charge for their free weekend and evening calls?pricefighter wrote:If your calls are currently Cps to First Telecom all you have to to go back to OneTel is to apply to join them, and they will arrange to take over the Cps.The 18899/18866 will work ok,and you can still use the BT overide 1280 facilty to put traffic through BT.If you are going to do that consider https://www.justdialsaver.com a One tel subsidiary where your evening calls are free as well as weekend. This can be used with 1899/18866/
However if you are talking about moving line rental to Onetel. bbb_uk explains the situation above.0 -
Hi folks,
I know JDS well, it was my recommendation a couple of years ago before the advent of 18866 and 1899. Im planning a full rewrite of my home phones article and how to fit JDS's evening and weekend calls into it. Though i have a full check out of terms i want to do first.
At cursory glance using JDS as CPS provider with 1899 on top for daytimes and mobiles (or additionally 18185 at weekends) and the callchecker for international certainly seems the cheapest.
Give me a couple of weeks and i'll be in full publication mode

I got this:-hansi wrote:Thank you. Can you still use 18866/1899 during the day, what hours constitute "evening". Is it 6pm to 8am?
from their website here (scroll down to the bottom).Peak: Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm. Off-peak: Monday - Friday 6pm - 7.59am. Weekend: Friday 12 am - Sunday 12 am.
Be wary though as some CPS providers have changed their peak hours to start at 6am instead of the usual 8am. BT and TalkTalk have but not sure about OneTel and the rest.0 -
"5p minimum call charge applies" quoted from their website and doesn't mention for chargeable call only.bbb_uk wrote:I got this:- from their website here (scroll down to the bottom).
