Pixmania - terrible service

I would ask Gozmo
why he/she didn't cancel the order when s/he was on the phone to them and said "I'll have to cancel" the first time. Shoddy working practices means you CANCEL STRAIGHT AWAY. Having given them one or two extra chances to deliver, and they failed, it was definately time to cancel.
What does Gizmo do? goes and orders another B4 cancelling the 1st
Now Gizmo is on holiday, we can only hope there is someone in the house who knows not to accept delivery. Because if a neighbour accepts delivery on their behalf and gizmo away for how long? 1 week 2 weeks? I can see trouble ahead on this one.0 -

Well, Pixmania's taking far too long with my order, and I saw another mp3 player elsewhere which didn't show up on my original searches. It's the same model, but a better colour for £3 extra. lol. Anyway, I let them know by email that I wanted to cancel my order. They were good by replying and saying that if the order has already been dispatched and my account credited, then I'm to refuse it when the courier arrives... they'll take it back to the warehouse, and I'll be credited with a full refund.0 -

Still no mp3 player or rebate from Pixmania... tried to phone them... waited ages, hung up, so I've emailed them yet again:
I wish for a reimbursement and cancellation of order .......... as you can see the item has not been dispatched and won't be for a while - I have asked for a reimbursment before (at the weekend). I cannot get through to you on the phone. I quote:

Yes - I had requested delivery to my work address - so I told them not to accept - they tried to deliver it 3 times - and it was refused 3 times and then sent back. Thankfully after a few conversations with them since I got back I now have a full refund.
But I did tell them on the phone that I wanted to cancel it - they said ok - yet it was still despatched 2 days after that - a whole week after placing the order - and paying a premium for express next day delivery.....
I guess All's Well That Ends Well - but I for one will never use Pixmania again - nor recommend them to anyone.0 -
november wrote:Sounds like they are OK if the order goes through OK but not so good at dealing with it if anything goes wrong which still leaves me wary of using them again. If something goes wrong with my delivery I like to be sure someone will deal with it not leave me running around trying to get them to do so with no success. My order actually cost the same as elsewhere if you add in the costs of the 'when it turns up' next day delivery service I paid for (and it was weekday, not Saturday so they've no excuse there).
Glad someone saved money with them though!
Just realised I called gizzmo gozmo earlier for some bizarre reason.Sorry gizzmo
No worries november0 -

Cancelled by email, wasn't even in stock, got refund... took long enough!0 -
Just what is PixMania's E-Mail address and how can I cancel my order?
They do not answer their phone and, depsite numerous references on theri wesbite saying you can E-Mail them, there is no E-Mail address to write to!
I ordered goods on 16/09/2005 and, despite payment being made via my credit card immediately and all goods 'in stock', the order is still 'pending' (whatever that means).
Also, I have just learnt that if the camera does arrive, the instructions will only be in French!0 -

You have to log in and email them through their FAQ... there are options that lead to How to cancel my order.
Oh they take their time! I hate the word PENDING  - it could mean anything.0 -
According to Pixmania's website they do not take money from credit cards until the day after the order is placed (for security reasons). My order was placed on 16/09/2005 and they took the money that day!
The goods were in stock at the time of my order and have been in stock ever since. So, why did they not dispatch them?
I cancelled my order yesterday, so why is it still showing as 'pending'?
Pixmania's delivery problems seem to be worse this month. I wonder if they are in financial difficulty?0 -

Beats me, I had the same probs with goods in stock... they're not the first company to do this, but at least the others don't take payment before dispatch. Yeah, you have to just keep emailing - pending shows for a while until you actually receive an order cancellation email that also says that you will be refunded... keep on trying mate.0
