Hello moneymabel,
Fingers crossed I will pass my test soon!!
How is everything?
I'm being very good money wise at the moment, everyday I am remembering to take my own lunch to work, and I'm even stopping myself buying chocolate from the machine. Unfortunately i slipped up today and bought a magazine, that was £1.70 down the drain as the magazine was rubbish, that'll teach me for wasting money.0 -
Hey MM,
Sorry to hear about your friend but glad she's on the mend, hope her and the baby are doing well now
Hayley,
I'm also trying to make my own lunch for work but it's tempting as we have a canteen on site - nightmare!! lol. I really must try harder though as it's such an easy way to save ... and even £2 a day (and the canteen is more expensive than that!) is £40 / month off the CC bill.
I'm worst when I'm tired ... bit stressed out at the minute (coz of seeing this psych) so not sleeping too well ... I was lucky today as both my bosses bought me coffee! (I normally bring my own milk etc as we have a kitchenette at work, but I was off-site today - had to leave at 7am to travel there - eek!!). Right sorry just realised I'm rambling now, will stop!
I keep meaning to look at that MB info but too tired tonight, maybe tomorrow. Take care guys n gals xxTarget debt - Loan left over from previous relationship - c. £3700

I would join but I dont think there is any way I would be debt free by the end of this year......wish there was0
-
hi tinkerbelle, you are welcome to join, you may not be able to be debt free by the end if the year but you will still be better off than when you started, there are a lot of people on here that can help and we don't mind if u join in. Perhaps I should change the title to ' moneymabels debt free / better off by 2009!
How much are you in debt tinkerbelle, is it going to be a long term challenge?0 -
hi hayley,
Making pack lunch and resisting chocolate?!!! You go girl !! Know what you mean about magazines, I love them but I am trying really hard to stop buying them, my sister got me a subscription to company for my birthday ( using her tesco clubcard deals- she's learning LOL ) so I'm trying just to have that one and read any people leave at work.
Discovered on another thread that you can freeze ham sandwiches so have made a whole loaf worth for oh lunches. I'm veggie so no good for me but at least I can concentrate on mine now instead of making 2 lots. Usually make his and then can't be bothered to do mine.
Just been outbid on another mobile...... Perhaps my cunning plan wasn't so cunning after all !0 -
hi jenna,
Thanks, my friend is getting better, she has to have an op coz she broke her shoulder while having a fit but she is off the blood pressure drugs and baby is fine ( and cute!)
Just replied to hayley about pack lunches above- do you eat ham sandwiches coz its nice just to take a pack out of the freezer every morning!0 -
I am a total muppet- just found an old mobile of oh's only worth 47p but get 3.60 for signing up and trading phone via quidco, but i got so excited that i found the phone i registered with envirofone but forgot to go through quidco:mad:   realised before i arranged for phone trade so i still get 1.49 for existing member trading phone through quidco but what a prize pillock!
got yet another phone auction finishing soon so might have another £1.49 to make up for disappointment:rolleyes:0 -
for some strange reason envirofone has tracked at 3.60 on quidco, perhaps i clicked through on another occasion?/!!! anyway yay!!! (although still a muppet coz didnt realise mazuma were on quidco as well lol)
just won a phone aution that i can make a pound on and also 1.49 quidco so not too bad:D0 -
