right I'm back- just been to a puppy sociolisation party- 10 puppys all hyper with squeaky toys. Ive got a headache!
Jenna , welcome to the challenge, as you were saying about the psych , I think you are right to do that now whatever the cost , if u are feeling miserable you are more likely to spend to cheer yourself up and that would be wasted money. There are a few ways to make more cash- check out the ' up your income 'board for ideas, eg quidco, boot sales, surveys etc every little helps as they say!
Wow I never thought so many people would be up for this challenge!! Good luck everyone.:D0 -
Yep im deffo game to join this one!!
The snowball calculator said December 2009 for me, but no way am i believing that! Pfft... 2009 indeed... im sure it was a typo!:rotfl:
Anyway, i am aiming to be debt free by December 2008, that includes debts to a credit card and loan, my overdraft and money to family. The money to family doesnt necessarily "matter" in the grand scheme of things, but they were kind enough to lend it to me, so i feel i need to pay it back as soon as i can.

My ebay auctions aren't excctly going well , only got a watcher on 2 items outta ten, still 4 days to go I suppose. Dunno what to do next to get extra cash, exhausted quidco, haven't had any surveys for ages, no stuff left to ebay. Hmmmmm better get thinking cap on...... Unless ive sold it of course .... LOL0 -

Hi moneymabel and everyone who has joined the thread! Have made a few changes, managed to save £100 on my rent by moving to a new place, so can relax a little with my second job and have a bit more free time for sleep. Am still aiming for end of 2008, will have to do a few sums, but have my fingers crossed. Got £20 from quidco in last couple of days, would have gone in savings but is going to debt instead, hate paying interest! Am also looking at changing mobile as contract is up next month. Have met someone at work who ebays loads and is willing to help me, if I could sell everything I have here that I never use but bought to cheer myself up, would probably be debt free a lot sooner, would still be poor but going in the right direction! Need to find ways to throw money at debts without wearing myself out. Another low spend day today, just an ice cream as too hot!Loan1: £9990 Loan 2: £1800 C card: £2850 (0%)
Total debt: £14640
Total savings: £11327
Total: -£33130 -

Your uncle sounds like mine! aren't we lucky:j have a great holiday, hope you have a brilliant time.
havent tried any bridal fairs yet, they are all so expensive to book a space, the shops that sell my jewellery go there tho so i might ask them to take some of my business cards next time they go. I'm from a small town so the fairs aren't exactly huge anyway. I have a website but havent had any sales through there,so much competition. still business is only a year old and i'm in profit so won't complain!!
Do you make jewellery ?
Hi Moneymabel,
I've had a go at making jewellery, nothing fancy and i enjoy it. wouldnt say my stuff looks professional but just a wee hobby for myself. Seems like theres a lot of you in this challenge now!! good luck to you all!!
Off to bed,

I know what you mean about the family debt, my relative lent me the money to pay my loan so I would owe him with no interest, he's in no hurry for it back but I am determined to pay him back asap, hence this challenge!
