    hi hayley,
Ooh you are going to have so much stuff to ebay! And if u run out u can start on oh's LOL . Congratulations on the upcoming co habitation. Does your oh know all about your dfw status ? Sorry just being nosy . Mine knows about my debt and I am v lucky as he pays for household stuff, I pay personal bills and for broadband/ phone so feel like I am contributing a little bit. There is no way I would have been able to pay off so much without him, as soon as debt free will be upping the amount I give him to make up for it. still- its his fault I can't work full time as I am looking after the puppy coz he brought her home !

I hope i'm going to have so much stuff on ebay, my problem is i can never seem to part with stuff i no longer need. My OH and I did a carboot sale not long ago, i knew i had lots to get rid off, but when it came to boxing it all up and selling it i couldn't get rid off it, i ended up taking about six items to the bootsale instead of about 50 . So i must stop hanging onto stuff i really don't need. I have around 300 dvds that i don't watch anymore, hopefully i can list some of them on ebay/amazon soon.

My OH doesn't really understand about debt, he's never been in debt and always been very good with money. My debt is mostly down to driving lessons and buying clothes i never needed. All that is behind me now and my driving lessons only come out of money i actually have, hopefully I'm ready for my test next month and pass! That will me so much a month.

Awww a puppy, what dog do you have?

    hi moneymabel,
Know what you mean about the jewelery! If there are any bridal fares around you, could you advertise there? You've probably already done all this.

Yep my gorgeous uncle gave me €50 for my upcoming holiday (Ibiza on Friday), cos I seemed broke, bless:p

    Hi Hayley,
it is hard getting rid of stuff but once you start its an addiction! Listing dvd's on ebay is so much easier now than it used to be, just type in the isdn number or titile and it gives you a ready made description, justy add the condition and there ya go ,job done! wow-300 dvd's just think what a dent that could make in your debt......:j
My OH sounds like yours, never been in debt, when he was 10 he got a bike from the catalogue, paying it off with pocket money but wouldn't ride it til it had been paid for as it 'didn't feel like he owned it yet'!!!!!!!!!!!! if only i had been like that lol. quite glad he's like that tho, my ex husband (who i accumulated most of my debt with) was always in debt so it didn't matter, with new OH i feel guilty if i add to my debt so that helps.
We have a collie puppy, 13 weeks old and seems to think she is a shark...sharp teeth and likes to use them  . i'd forgotten how much hard work a puppy is! never mind-at least we got her away from the farm she was on ,and they have since been reported to rspca ( not a nice place, other half was doing labouring work there and had to take food for our pups mother as she wasn't being fed enough and was still working ) also other things but wont got into details as makes me sooo ANGRY.
still, had news that he had a visit so hopefully things will be sorted.

    Hi Irishgal,
Your uncle sounds like mine! aren't we lucky:j have a great holiday, hope you have a brilliant time.
havent tried any bridal fairs yet, they are all so expensive to book a space, the shops that sell my jewellery go there tho so i might ask them to take some of my business cards next time they go. I'm from a small town so the fairs aren't exactly huge anyway. I have a website but havent had any sales through there,so much competition. still business is only a year old and i'm in profit so won't complain!!
    Do you make jewellery ?

hi shopaholic- of course we don't mind you are very welcome, in fact I saw your post on hayleys thread and was wondering if u would want to join but was too chicken to pm you!
I think this thread is helping me already, went into town to deliver jewellery to bridal shop and popped into primark , only spent £2.50 on 2 vest tops which I actually needed as last years have shrunk ( ok I ate all the pies and have grown) instead of buying tops, jeans, shoes and bags that I never wear because they are a 'bargain '
I was nervous about starting the thread as I am a relative newbie to the site but I'm so glad I did with all you lovely people joining in!

    Hello,

Would you mind if I joined too? I have no idea if I can do it or not ... I've just started seeing a psych which (even on the discounted rate I'm getting) is still v. expensive for me ... it's really eating into the "paying off debt" money! So there's nothing in the budget allocated for me to pay off more than the min. - so depressing! I desperately need some motivation to find other ways to make money ...

I know the hardened DFWs would say "don't see the psych til you're DF" but everything is just getting to me and making me miserable... but then I feel guilty and frustrated that I'm not clearing the debt too.

Wow making jewellery, that sounds really cool :) I am so looking forward to the day when I've paid off my debts as I can build up some savings and then start running my own business (in Events). I'm doing one or two things alongside working FT (just for friends and family) but can't wait to be doing it "properly"...

Yep im deffo game to join this one!!

The snowball calculator said December 2009 for me, but no way am i believing that! Pfft... 2009 indeed... im sure it was a typo!:rotfl:

Anyway, i am aiming to be debt free by December 2008, that includes debts to a credit card and loan, my overdraft and money to family. The money to family doesnt necessarily "matter" in the grand scheme of things, but they were kind enough to lend it to me, so i feel i need to pay it back as soon as i can.
