Thanks MM.
Well i owe my mum £4750 (was £6K but i did pay some of it off). Im hoping that with the extra money this month, the money i should get in another tax rebate at some point, and money my sis owes me (£600) i will be able to at least pay my mum 1/2 back this year.
The saving thread sounds like a great idea for 2009. I need around £7-9K (well at least £5K i reckon).
But i should really concentrate on my debts first i think!
Oooo i havent done compare the market, will go off and do it now.

wow.
i hope it wasn;t me asking how much extra you needed a month that disheartened you! sorry
maybe you should just create an amount extra each month to make. is it just one card? maybe work out how much to pay off one
glad you have found £2 extra on compare the market. what other things have you clicked or tried to make money on quidco?

we will def carry on with a debt/ savings thread for 2009 then. I need 6000 I reckon for my MINI perhaps less as they will have dropped in value in a year and I have my current car to sell.
good luck with the tescos panel jen, I'm going to have another check through quidco see if there's anything I missed. Done 3 credit cards, 2 savings accounts , bank account, car insurance , betfair and other odds and sods .already.0 -

hey everyone,
wow you've all been so busy!! can't say I've done the same unfortunately ... bit of a lazy weekend lol ... caught up on sleep and things ... done a little bit of cleaning & some family duty (aka visiting!). OH is out at the pub so just thought I'd pop on here and say hello
im really rubbish at maths so i dont know if anyone can help me on the debt front ... the total as of this second is in my sig (except £25 already in my acc waiting to come of the CC this week on the DD). I get paid weekly but got stuck trying to work out the number of weeks til new years ... my standard (min.) monthly payments are £25 to the CC, £26.41 to the sofa and £5 to my sister. But I'm also saving for the CC ... but not paying it off yet as it's on interest free & it's better to keep it in my savings acc for now ...
I dunno if anyone can number crunch thatlol dont worry if not. I'm pretty aware that with seeing this psych I'm not likely to make it this year!! Want to though ...
I made lunches Mon/Tues/Weds but then ran out of bread (i know, pathetic excuse!) and ended up buying lunch Thurs & Fri. Must try harder!! But that's better than I was a few months ago so will get there in the end.
Hows everyone's BH weekend going? xxTarget debt - Loan left over from previous relationship - c. £3700

Hi jenna, hey well done on making lunches Mon tues wed, just think that is so much better than what we were doing before! Keep a loaf of bread spare in the freezer for emergencies!
my maths is terrible so afraid I can't work out your finance question- sure someone else will tho, the thread will carry on as a debt/savings thread after the end of the year so dont worry if u think u cant do it,at the mo your psych is more important so concentrate on paying for that - once u are feeling better the rest will come and u will be debt free sooner than I think I'm sure.:-)0 -
hi Jenna
i was working on 31weeks that takes us to the start of the week christmas falls in
25 a month for cc divide 4 to give weeks is £6.25 x 31weeks is £193.75
sofa £26.41 divide 46.60 x 31 weeks £204.68
sister 5 divided 41.25 x 31= 38.75
is that right hun were they all monthly payments?
if so by x mas you will have paid £437.11 well done hun that will be fab:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j
