Hi mabel,
this is brilliant and i'd like to join! i'd set myself a target to be debt free by Jan 09 - its quite a hard target on my debt level but i'm so fed up of being in debt i'll do anything!
So far i've just really been cutting back, i monitor every penny i spend each month on a spreadsheet. Other things I've been doing is a college course and looking for a second weekend job!
ANy advice for how I can really hit this target!? Managing to scrape by paying back between £500 and £700 a month at the moment, but need that extra bit to hit my target! I also know some months paying back so much won't be possible.
Thanks!debt free by 2009! May08 £55000 -
hi foster77
money mabel doesn't seem to be about this morning but i am sure she will welcome you with open arms.
i am a single mum on a low income trying to pay back a relitively small amount of money ( big to me) i owe £917.80 paying back £15 a weeks (£60 month)
yesterday we worked out how much we need to make a week/month. it is 31 weeks till the week christmas day falls in i think i need £36 extra a month which i am making through quidco daily clicks, e bay amazon and spending less on shopping!! welcome to the challange!! and good luck:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Hi Foster 77 and welcome to the challenge!!!
If you read back through this thread and also the 'up your income' thread there are loads of ideas for making that extra bit of money to reach your target, quidco especially is excellent. We are all gonna try so hard to be debt free by 2009 but if not this thread will be carrying on as a debt thread for those still on the challenge and a savings thread for those that have completed it, will be nice for us all to continue and see how everyone is doing. having said that we WILL be debt free for 2009 lol:D
jen, just went to join moneybackmadness and realised im already a member, bummer coz i was gonna get you to refer me so u could have got some cash. still only on the initial 10 pound sign up bonus tho so must get going!0 -
