Just had a visit from MIL re. split with her son...all very emotional and made me wonder if Im making a huge mistake. God, I feel wretched now.

Dropped the kids off at the gym so OH could take them swimming and on the way home lost control of my car on a corner and nearly crashed. It was dead slippery (and I may have been going a bit too fast?!)

Anyway, feel like crawling back into bed and starting the day over...

OMG bun you ok!!!!??? That must've been so frightening!!! Sending you a big massive hug. Don't listen to MIL. You know she's only got her precious son's interests at heart really, not yours. x

It wasnt nice-
I couldn't really explain why in gory details we are splitting up (not something you tell a 67 year old woman) but trying to make her maybe understand that we still are best of friends and respect each other and love each other in a way, well, it's rough.

It has come as a shock to her too
give her time,she will need time to adjust as well
eventually she will see you are both happier

Im second guessing every decsion I've made now and maybe I should just realise he is a wonderful man and stop looking for more.

You are bound to feel like that Bun x Im sure he is a good man, you wouldnt have stayed so long if he was a total evil barsterd, but you have not rushed into your decision and you deserve to be happy in the way you need to be.

Look back to the person you were when you were with him. Remember why you left in the first place. You're bound to be a bit sensitive at the mo and MIL's not going to have helped. Give it time hun. x

Just because he is a wonderful man...does not make him the right man for you.
You have both tried to make it work and it hasnt,
Dont beat yourself up about it.
It will all work out for the best.
