They don`t service gas fires as part of the plan. You would need to pay £30 for the service if you have it done same time as the first inspection. My mum has it, not had any problems with her boiler since she took it on last July.

What do you get for your £9 or £13 pcm? - You may be better sticking your money in a savings account.

If it is just an annual service you could probably get this cheaper from an independant CORGI registered heating engineer, with the benefit that they will more likely be a time served technician who knows a bit about boilers instead of a monkey that has been trained to the bare minimum level to enable them to pass CORGI registration and really, doesn't have much of a clue about boilers, or how to maintain, faultfind and fix them.
 I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

Ive been looking into this a lot recently as my boiler has just gone out of warrenty, this is what i found :

Parts Covered: Boiler + Central Heating
    Callouts Limit: Unlimited
    Parts & Labour: Included
Response Time: Same day call before 10.00
    Cover Limit: Unlimited
    Safety Inspection: Included
    Minimum Duration: 12 months
    No Claims Discount: No
Maximum Boiler Age: No age Limit
Boiler Replacement: Boiler under 7 years
    Renewable for Boiler Lifetime: Yes

So basically it covers everything in your central heating system, for £13 a month including an insteption and also replace faulty items such as rads and the boiler itself if under 7 years but if older offer a discount on getting it replace.

I believe it comparable to british gas 200 product which cost £17 a month with the diffrence being eon only use there own people no contracts unlike britsh gas who use local contracts, which i can see as only a good thing,

I believe this dos NOT include any service just an inspection.

there also offer an boiler inspection for £74 one off fee which is a saftery check for the boiler and your system and the same as above for £9 a month but this one has a £50 excess on the cover.

Dont think it avail nationwide though, due to the fact they only uses there own engineers and i believe there moving it across the country slowly makingsure they have sufficent manpower in place :)

    Hope this helps

The £9 a month option is exactly the same as the £13 a month option but with a £50 call out charge for each fault.

They both include and annual safety and maintanence inspection (Or more commonly known as a service)

Once you take the plan out you have whats known as an intial inspection this is to make sure they can cover the boiler (a small number they can;t normally warm air gas systems)

And as someone mentioned they use there own engineers and its comparable to the Bgas Homecare 200.

Are you sure they service as I asked this question when I was offered this and was told it did not include annual service just a visual inspection then recommendations if required so service would be extra? This is what I was told by EON when the rep phoned me.
