My big question here - i put 'other other' in the options and it is doing very well.
What type of things are 'other other?'

I'm glad you've asked this as I've often wondered how so many people come across this site.
I read about it in a piece in Mother and Baby Magazine last year, involving budgeting for your new baby. Have since spread the word to lots of others, so hopefully 'word of mouth' should figure quite highly on your survey.0 -
I remember distinctly a journey home one night listening to radio 5 when one Martin Lewis was banging on about BT charges etc. He was tearing them to pieces about the charges compared to other suppliers. The website was mentioned, I memorized it, came home and the rest is history.
I'll hold my hands up and confess to being responsible for MATH being on the site. Most of my colleagues have had the weekly email at some stage or other as have most of my friends. Anyone who does not wise up financially by reading this site is completely barking!A woman of many moods...... and chocolate solves them all0 -
Mine was from this morning with phil and fern (who i love
;D) about 18months or so ago i think.

Me too I also found out from this morning programme, and remember how fascinated I was with the advice he was giving having never heard anything like before, especially when he mentioned the 3 for 2 offers in supermarkets, terrific Martin!!0 -
Martin, When was the very first time you went on TV, ??? which programme ???
I'm sure other people would be interested too, I ask as I want to know how long I'd been missing out on your very good advice0 -

As for those who asked "when did i first appear on TV"
Well the very first time was in the crowd seeing Big Daddy wrestle in Chester when i was 8.
After that it was a long wait. I think the next time was as President of my University Students Union i did an interview for about westminster (i still have it somewhere). There were a few more about that time
When it comes to money, i was a radio reporter/producer for radio 5 biz/miney coverage for a short while.
However the real answer is presenting the Deal of the Day on Simply Money TV (a now defunct channel on Sky). That was where i developed 'MoneySaving' though it wasn't called that then and where i started doing the research. I started at SMTV (i wish) on 2 Jan 2000 and the first prog was on 23 Jan - the first ever 'Deal' was on current accounts. (if you go to the site's gallery you will see some of the fun stuff i did whilst doing that porg)
