My daddy told me. He heard it on the radio, and then gave me a piece of paper with https://www.moneysavingexpertdotcom written on it. He wanted to find out about changing gas and electricity, but still hasn't got round to it.

  • I think mine would have to be other other. I think someone posted it on a support group forum that i'm a member of on Yahoo. They also posted a similar one at the same time for spoof and spam emails. Out of all the message boards/forums etc im a member of i have to say i spend more time one here and have got allot more out of this than any of the others. Thanks a million Martin, i wouldn't of even known CCCS and national debt line existed if it wasn't for this I would of probably ended up paying for a debt management company to help me consolidate:T

About 18 months ago whilst watching This Morning, and I thought eye eye Who's this dish, but then was really interested in what he was saying. Signed up when a friend told me about the £25 First Direct offer.

London Tonight way back in November when he was talking about ATM's charging fees for people to take out their own money. I was off work that day or I never catch the evening news. I was over the moon....

It must've been a couple of years ago when I first heard of this site, probably around the time he'd just launched it. Martin was doing a spot on BBC Radio London around the time that the great snow storm caught many people stranded in their cars. You know how it is, one snowflake and the whole of London comes to a grinding halt. It might not of been that night, but it was pretty close to it. It's about the only time I've listened to BBC London in my life!

PS Missed this poll. I really must pay more attention to the emails (and look at the front page more often)

A year or so back I found the money diet in Ottakers, thought I bet it's cheaper online bought it from BOL.com. While I waited for it I heard Martin on Jeremy Vine & was hooked. Imagine my surprise when I found out the author & speaker were one & the same.

Last week the missus asked "who's Martin Lewis" after reading his article in "Bella" magazine. GRRRRR
Every day above ground is a good day.
  • Heard him first on Radio 5 "drivetime", then visited website, then bought his book, then stoozed, then moved mortgage, then changed car insurance, then joined Costco, then moved buildings and contents insurance.

Probably not done in the right order to save the most cash the quickest, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
