Cattles is the parent company of Welcome Finance.

I got a letter from WFS today advising that they haven't received my questionnaire and can't consider it without this. I'm getting really annoyed with their stalling tactics.

They do like to stall don't they!! Is the questionnaire in regards to PPI? Their compliance team now has been bought in from Cattles and I think they're a lot better now. Did you send it recorded? xx

I didnt get a questionnaire. They did stall like crazy though i wrote about 5letters to different places and faxed letters before i even got a first response. That was because they had lost 2 of my 5 loan agreements...guilty! If yours is a new case you are lucky u should see a better response time once they finally acknowledge the completed questionnaire. Some poor lady has been waiting since Nov 2007 i thought feb 08 was bad, gee wizz!

No I didn't either, and they didn't stall with me at all, I sent my letters and within 3 weeks of each I received final responses!!

Yep, but I ripped up the questionnaire as it is of no relevance to my complaint - all the information they needed was in the letter I had sent.

I didn't send my second letter recorded, but I will for this final one before I go to the FOS.

Hi folks, first time post, I have a loan with welcome that still owes to the tune of £4100. I actually phoned the local branch up last week to make my monthly payment and asked if they could give me a settlement price they did, £4600, the manageress on the other end of the phone told me that she had the discretion to bring it down to around £3800. I'm being made redundant next month and want to get shot of them once and for all,any suggestions in how much they would actually take as I dont really want to pay anywhere near £3800.

Phoned Glasgow branch this morning and low and behold balance has risen to £4637.25 with settlement price of £4780.95, asked the woman on the other end of the phone who told me that the seetlement figure was so high because I have nearly £950 arrears, I asked for complience dept no, which she did not have, then asked why, I told her about re-claiming PPI she replied that would that would be a waste of my time as she used to be an underwriter and everything was above board, I did not want to get into an arguement with her, but I did ask if she was looking for a new job with WF in the deep financial mire, she replied that Welcome was in a very healthy position, was not paying people off or shutting offices and anyway that was in England, you couln't make it up.
I tried phoning complience section they dont seem to be in any rush to answer the phone
