    Could be some new gubbins to convert them to digital so they need no film and operate 24/7 to bring in more cash.

    There's a stetch of road going into Sawley from Long Eaton in Notts that has 2 truvellos pointing the same way not a 100 yds apart. They've had to install a rotating CCTV camera between them to prevent "frustration" damage

    If they are high and a smaller box near the original gatso they are new gatso's.
    Apparently harder to vandalise and they will now flash you for red light jumping and speeding even on green.

    Difficult to tell from the pic but it looks like some sort of camera to me.

    It could be ANPR, I doubt its a speed camera, there would be no good reason to have 2 in the same position.

    Maybe ANPR to catch people while they're driving slower for the speed camera, as they don't normally work with cars going past at 70?:confused:

    Definitely ANPR. The two minor boxes in between house the power and electronics for the units. It's not trafficmaster because they have blue heads.

    No point in having an ANPR camera there as who would catch the car?

    It's more likely to be an extra flash due to the overhang of the trees, or some kind of camera on test.

    Hmm I think I know what it is.

    every gatso has what you call graduation marks on it. Kinda like a ruler with lines on the road.

    Im gonna say it puts the grad marks on the road in Infra-Red so that the gatso can pick it up, but you the road user cant.
